Of course, anyone who has scored nearly 1000 goals is worth it.

Romario is a waste of $$$, he does not suit Adel Utd style, Kosi's game plan is based on run and hard work, pushing up to the ball, Romario does not run or work, so the rest of the team has to cover for his lack of work ethic

why did we go after Romario, when we have Fernando, Qu and young talent like Burns

On tonight's first half, once again the side is so undiscipline, this is a real concern, we give away too many fouls, and what was the keeper thinking

Memo to Kosi, when we were reduced to 10 men Romario should of been the one to sacrafice to the keepers mistake, you can not carry playrs who will not work when your down to 10 men, Todd's pace would of been valuable

it's not too late, take Romario off at half time, the points are more valuable then what we paid him to play

poor coaching cost Adel the points

in a game down to 10 men a side, Kosi keeps on players such as Veart and Romario, while players such as Todd and Burns are on the bench

with that much more space and fatigue, pace was always going to be a key advantage, Melb Victory exposed adel for the lack of pace, thanks to keeping Dad's Army on the park

You little bewdy, not a big fan of either sides but when I saw the Adelaide ferals throwing things onto the pitch my mind was made up.
Well done the Victory and what a great game by Kevin Muscat, certainly showed who's the profesional out of him and Kossi!

Don't get me wrong, Melbourne fans are just as bad, as are Sydney and Central Coast fans.
Melbourne fans have got up to no good while in sydney too:
Meanwhile Melbourne fans have in past seasons come to the Coves home pub
-with a metal bar looking for a fight
-lobbing a flare onto the roof of the Cricketers
-grabbing our Cove fence banner
-trying to start brawls outside the Hopetoun (of course whilst covering your faces wth you scarves & with a 300 vs 30 ratio in your favour)

In Melbourne they've been known to set off 38 flares and lob them onto unsuspecting people below, attacked Sydney fans (resulting in security having to lock arms and shunt them behind a gate).
They tried to break open gates to get at Adelaide fans.
There's also a youtube of them jumping on a cab in Sydney.

Despite ethnic tensions between some clubs in the NSL the A-League is heading down a worse path as they've attracted a lot of the pommy element that still have the same philosophies as their UK bretheren of the past.
Give me a bit of good humoured banter between the Greeks and Italians any day over this crap.

"Yeah, but us italians introduced it to women!"
"it was only by mistake though- your women have moustaches!"
etc etc...

Even though I followed an Italian side the Greeks were bloody funny, they had these 90 year old greeks serving behind the bar and if they'd based a sitcom on them it would have been a hit. Funnier than fawlty towers.
I remember one derby when a crass but funny Greek shouted out in a moment of silence "F*** you referee!" <pause of 5 seconds> "and f*** your mother too".
5000 people pissed themselves laughing at the same time.
Only hint of violence I ever saw in almost 20 years. was one Greek getting up on top of the players race (when it was made of fencing) waving his fist at an Italian. Luckily there was no Serb team in the NSL otherwise it might have got ugly. Saw some "ugly" Croats but never any gang mentality going both ways.

I believe the Adel v Melb game was screened live into Brazil- you can't buy publicity like that.

Haven't seen the game but have seen most this season and the biggest problem has been glaringly obvious, and thats our leaky defense ... All good and well to try and be creative from there but our man marking has been appalling at times and the Coaching Staff and Media for some reason, have failed to admit the problem.

if your gonna bring romario here and pay him 60k a game at least develop a style of game that is suited to his. Don't play flighted long balls all night to a guy who is 5ft nothing. keep the ball on the carpet and play the ball to his feet. kossie insists on playing long balls- its becoming very boring and predictable.

oh and get rid of aloisi- the guy is long past it. has no discipline and no creativity. the only reason i can think adelaide are still playin him is in the hope that he can bring his brother john to the club in the near future.
