ended 0-0, but 50,333 says Football is the real winner, bigger than any afl crowd at the Dome since 2004.

And lets not talk about the mini riot which happened after

I disagree as it was a bigger crowd than football managed this year, I'd say soccer is the winner.
Can I assume that 45,000 Melbourne fans would cause 90 times as many problems as the 500 of them caused in Adelaide?
Yeah right!

apparently Sydney supporters copped it pretty bad after the game, and had to be escorted onto the pitch and down the race.

Victorians proving to be very dumb though, 50,000 to a game, yet MV's new ground is only going to hold 20,000. :?

Yeah, they started the planning last season when Olympic Park almost seemed big enough, I don't think the MV officials, Victorian Government or even the most optimistic soccer fans would have thought they'd be pulling the crowds through that they're pulling through this year. I thought Sydney last year was as big as the crowds were get but Victorians have done it again!

You gotta give credit to the Victory supporters... even though last season they won the Aussie spoon and didnt seem to get many through the gates while also calling for the head of Ernie, this year they have had amazing crowds.

50,000 is incredible.
