Clarets 1-1 Soton

Good solid performance by the clarets who battered Soton for 75 mins. We rode our luck with a couple of chances they should have buried but on the whole the clarets deserved at least a point.
Bartley was sensational and BOG by a country mile.
Stanislas was also very good until going off with an injury.
Bringing on Marney was the turning point as we lost the midfield battle and spent the last 15 mins playing deeper and deeper.

Clarets 5-1 Forest

Blitzkreig............
Forest are crap, McClaren is crapper.
Burnley were unstoppable leading 4-0 by half time. Forest fans boo'ed their team and manager off at the break and McClaren made his team return to the field for practice during the interval.
It was all a bit bizarre as there was a schools parade on at the time with about 200 10 year olds dressed in world costumes running about the field in between the forest team

I'm beginning to change my mind about this team. Stanislas is going to be the bargin of the century at £250k. Bartley was sensational again, as was Trippier. Looking at the squad we have about 6 who have barely had a game for months and it has taken time for them to gell

They gelled last night :D

Millwall 0-1 Clarets

Yay..... An away win, 2nd win on the bounce and 1st clean sheet in 24 games. Jay popped up with the winner but we have Bikey, sorry Amoudou and Grant to thank for the win. Both were outstanding in a game where Millwall huffed and puffed but couldn't blow the Burnley house down.

Bikey has been very good since coming back into the fold. Personally I'd give him the captains badge if he keeps up the effort and release McCann from the responsibility.

Clarets up to 14th with a game in hand.
