Dead cert that Allardyce will be manager next year. If they are offerring odds, then get your money on it.
Not sure about Joe Cole developning under Mourinho. He and Robben are the two biggest cheats in ELP IMO. He has gone backwards in those stakes. Was a good honest player at WHU and don't forget it was their development of him through the youth ranks that got him the big bucks deal at Chelski.
As for becoming a better player, that is pure conjecture as he is with a bigger club with better players. You are not quoting like for like. Look at Bent at Charlton or King at Watford. Bent is 3rd on the top scorers list this year and Charlton got relegated. It's about the quality of the team around you. Cole has far more freedom to go forward and rove than he did at WHU.
Ferdinand at WHU is another. Lets see how his career pans out should he leave West Ham and sign for one of the big boys.
On another note: Shame about Charlton getting relegated. Watched the last game against Spurs. It was interesting to see that both Berbatov and former son DeFoe, barely celebrated their goals. Whilst the Spurs fans were all lapping up the victory and the goals (and quite rightly too, as any fan loves to see their club score and win), was interesting to see that the Spurs team were not celebrating the fact that they had just sent Charlton down. Just show how players have a diffeent perspective on the result than the fans. Nice touch too from DeFoe to go straight to Charlton manager Pardew and put his arm round him. Like I say, shame about Charlton, they were / are one of the nice teams in the EPL with few enemies and no players that you love to have. Unfortunately those players, like Shrek, Ronaldo at Man U, Douff at Bolton, anyone from Chelski, etc are the ones that win games. some thing missing at Charlton.
