He was suspended for sending players and officials an email stating his disgust that someone from Brighton had gone into the away dressing room before the arrival of Crystal Palace, shat and then smeared it all over, in an attempt to unnerve the Palace team. He asked whoever it was to take responsibility and resign

This in the same week that someone put a pigs head in Kenwin Jones' locker at Stoke. Jones is a Muslim so would be pretty pissed. Pissed enough to go and throw a brick through Whelans car window, allegedly.
