I thought it was around 9.45, but a few mates last night thought it was later.

Won't be able to make it up there this time around unfortunately Punk, will try to catch up the next time they play though.

Go you Reds!

From St.James Park

Newcastle 0 Liverpool 3

(Rafa Benitez would have had a "strong" talk to his Reds after the game. Should have been a 6 - nil win. )

Punky, what word rhyms with Toon? Answer DOOM.

Allarcyce is out of his depth at Newcastle. I thought he would do well and made some good signings this season, but he is not the man to bring home the bacon.

Maybe a change in the managerial hotseat will take place by the end of this year.

Here is the nightmare senario.

Allardyce feels the heat and suddenly resigns to take up the England Job.
Benitez feels the heat and resigns to take up the vacant Newcastle Job
Mouoriniho installed as new Liverpool Boss.
Hmmmmm

The only solace this week for the Toon army was the Everton v Cats result.

It's amazing how that can happen.
Many pundits believe Martin o 'Neill wouldn't be able to manage a Man U or 'pool either, they are just good at getting medium funded teams into the top 12 and their boards are happy with that..

Mind you after what I saw saturday night I'd hardly call Newcastle a BIG team, they where PATHETIC and probably a step down from big SAM's teams at Bolton.

Allardyce struck lucky at bolton. They were made for each other.

Make no bones about it smithy. Newcastle are a big club. In terms of supporter base and not Neuvo Riche, I would put them in the top 5,

Man U
Liverpool
Arsenal
Newcastle
Man C
Spurs
West Ham
Chelski

Supporter wise Newcastle are huge and have a massive supporter base...
I'm just sick of hearing the Everton, Spurs, TOON, Hammers, Villa etc of the worlds saying they are a MASSIVE club when all they have done in the last 30 years is next to nothing...
They are well supported clubs who get to the occassional final....

If anything VILLA should have more bragging rights than any of the above cause at least they have won the European Cup.....

Agreed, but on that basis so should Nottm Forrest, and Leeds (who are both fighting it out in the 3rd Division).

My point was not well put, because it is more than just the fan base, if you know what I mean. They have a great tradition, and produced some fantastic players over the years. But agreed Toon have underachieved for years, and it looks like they will underachieve again.

Think Villa would agree with you there smithy

Aston Villa Original members of the Football League in 1888, Aston Villa are one of the Premier League's founding clubs. Formed in late 1874, Villa were the team to beat in the league's early years with a series of titles and FA Cup victories. The move to a purpose-built ground, Villa Park, from their Perry Barr home in 1897 came just a week after their league and FA Cup Double triumph that year.
The Villans have won the FA Cup seven times, the League Cup five times, the League title seven times, European Super Cup and the European Cup. Having been purchased by American billionaire Randy Lerner in 2006, manager Martin O'Neill now has money to spend
