Good game so far between the Ar&e and Spurs. nil all at the half.
O'hara showing some good stuff.
I'm cheering for the Spurs in this one.

JTC - I hope you're right about the Black Cats getting a draw.
I don't think we'll win a draw would be nice.

48 mins - Arsenal 1-0 up and an absolutely brilliant goal..
This is the reason why I watch Arsenal games,, they are a treat to watch,, pass and move,,, very attacking... Wenger has a job for life.....

63 mins and le' arse are still 1-0 up..
I would have to say that this Arsenal team is the best passers of a ball I have seen in 20 years.
I was a big Thierry henry fan but they are better without him I reckon....They are just fantastic to watch and Wenger and his scouts just keep rolling in the unknowns.

Early call.......Arsenal to win the EPL, CHAMPS league double.......unless they of course play 'pool in the final.

was an enjoyable game to watch.
Keane's miss was horrendous and costly.
How's DA coping?

Sunderland 0 - Reading 0.

Cole missed a sitter early for Cats. Since then it's been all Reading - including a miraculous save by Gordon on the line.

If things keep going the way they have been, I predict a 2 goal win to Reading.

BTW - I can never quite get over how ugly Reading's shirts are. Look like e rugby jumper.

Mate, I'm crying into a beer in the Swiss Alps. Can't believe what I'm reading about the derby, but I should be used to it by now. Had our chances by the sounds of it and squandered them. 61% possession and 5 shots on target but still lost. Typical Spurs.

That's the difference between also rans and the top 4. By all accounts, Arsenal played reasonably well, but not brilliant by their standards, we create chances, but they still get up. Gotta hand it to Wenger and the Goons....class.

Still, with the side we fielded I was fearful of a drubbing upwards of 4 nil, so not all bad. Jamie OHara is one to watch for the future as is Boateng who's fast becoming a favourite at the Lane.

Royals just scored against your boys mate. Looks like we'll both be drinking losers piss tonight. Chin up....

Yup - we lost in the last minutes.
Jones blew a gimme, then we let them score up the other end in injury time.
Disappointing.

Your right Dog. I've been a Reading supporter all my life and the current shirt = ordinary. Bring back the hoops! I guess this is what happens when you let marketers run a sporting club :(

The cats battled hard. Their lack of an even spread of quality is obvious. IMO another symptom of 'free market football' We have suffered as well. Steve Sidwell takes the $'s to be a bit part player (or not even get a seat on the bench) at Chelski instead of being 'the man' at Reading. Still if (and its a big if) Reading can hold theit Premier league postion for a couple more years until the stadium is extended we could move into the 'second tier' of English clubs.

I'm shocked by the 'gap' between not just the big four and the rest but between the 2nd tier (Everton/Villa/City etc) and the rest. The clubs from Reading downwards (current table) with the exeption of Spurs are way off the pace in tearms of quality as a result of the 'sidwell' syndrome. How this is the best way to run anything I just can't fathom.

Happy Christmas!

Good night of footy, that viewers choice thing on Fox is the best thing since Fernando Torres ... Got lucky on my tips with the Hammers, but balanced out with Readings late winner ... Enjoyed the derby at Emirates, although it played out like so many in recent memory, almost as if Spurs don't believe they can win one, the last Arsenal goal was just woeful marking.

BTW, Berbatov is a class act and his goal was top shelf.

He does look like a grumpy bugger though.
This weekend was my first with pay TV, so thoroughly enjoyed it.
Am hoping they show lots of Championship games next season, as the Cats look headed back there if we can't scrounge a win.
Also..the difference in pace between the Spurs-Gooners match and the Sunderland-Reading contest was phenomenal. An entirely different level as XTC pointed out.

And what were Cole and Jones thinking when they stuffed up those two chances???? Cole's was unbelievable from an experienced player.
