Championship 2008 Your preditions

Promotion

Birmingham (Big enough and tough enough to bounce back at the 1st attempt)
Crystal Palace (As much as I can't stand the twat, he has the knack of winning)
QPR (Will buy promotion this year)

Just losing out
Derby (Won't quite recover from last year)
Sheff U (Maybe if Warnock was still there)
Wolves (Last chance saloon for McCarthy)
Burnley (Not enough funds in the Jan window)

Get your money on Rangers, but possibly via the playoffs for me.

Down

Blackpool (Too many outs, too many ins, no money, no fans, no staduim)
Sheff Wed ((Talk about a sleeping ginat. The Owls are comatosed)
Swansea (Won't make the grade this time)

What are your thoughts on League 1? Can Leeds and Leicester make it back to the Championship for the 2009/10 season?

Bloody hope so michael.

Leicester have the fan base but they have been in turmoil for a couple of years or moe now, so it will depend if they can sort thmselves out.
Leeds missed out in the play off finals after suffeing a 15 point penalty, they seem much better organised, again have the fan base and will be there for sure.

Personally, I have no doubts that the Championship is worse off for their absence. From a purely selfish perspective, I know who I would rather have coming to Turf Moor. 5,000 Leeds fans or 300 Donny fans....Hmm.

If we are going to offer a truly 1st class 2nd tier then teams like Leeds and the Foxes need to be there. Teams like Blackpool and Donny don't.

apologies to any Doncaster and Tangerine fans. MK dons should be in the mix too after last years promotion, my only doubt is can they carry on where Paul Ince left off.

Birmingham and QPR will be two who go up, not sure who else.

I just pray that Cardiff will at least make the playoffs this season, no midtable mediocrity please.

I agree. The game between Leeds and Leicester could draw anywhere up to 30,000 fans maybe more. Not many Championship games would get that would they?
