It is all to do with a new rule the League brought out a couple of years back. If a club goes into administration they are automatically deducted 10 points. Luton had some alleged fraud problems too and I think either Rotherham (who also started minus 16 points or something) or Bournemouth had additionl points deducted because of how they wnet into administration.
Same thing happened to Leeds at the start of last season, and both Luton and Rotherham were relegated last year because of points deduction during the season.
Personally, I think it is a half arsed rule as it penalises clubs that are already in financial difficulty in the 1st place.
