FA ban unnamed players after testing positive for cocaineTimes Online
The FA has banned two unnamed players after they tested positive for cocaine.
One player has been banned for five months and the other for three months, according to findings published on anti-doping body UK Sport's website. It is understood they are youth players and not high-profile.
Both players' urine tests returned findings for benzoylecgonine, the major metabolite of cocaine, after they were selected for an out-of-competition test between April and June this year.
A third player has been reprimanded after testing positive for marijuana during the first three months of this year.
None of the players have been named by the FA because they have a policy of not identifying those who test positive for recreational drugs out of competition.
