cant say the same for Van Der Sar in yesterdays game. Everytime a decision went against Man Utd he was seen sprinting towards the ref or linesman complaining.

As JTC mentioned, that's just gamesmanship, nothing in it ... What would be interesting would be if the FA ever grow a spine and outlaw players surrounding referee's.

Wouldn't be an easy job being a ref, these days the players dispute everything (every free, every corner/goal kick, every throw-in) even when they know the correct decision has been made.

Why did he sprint for the first goal, it looked legit? I loved when the commentator said "look the handbags are out" once that first mallee occured.

LOL Yeah I thought that was funny too (and spot on).

I just watched the highlight of the Tottenham and Wolves game which looked mega entertaining - All 3 of Spurs goals were beauties, but they looked to have received a couple of favourable calls from the ref (the non-Red and the penalty and the disallowed goal).

I reckon it's true that all of the "bigger" clubs get the better end of the stick in terms of decisions and the "minnows" get a raw deal.

How the hell was that not a red card to Hutton? If that wasn't a goal scoring opportunity I don't know what is.

Im normally against stereo-typing but after watching the portuguese league on setanta these last few months i can see where nani and ronaldo get their antics from. One game i watched, i swear the stretcher came on 15 times only for the players to get up and run around. They fall over like a sniper has pinged them at every available chance, absolute disgrace. It frustrates me so much because when they stay on their feet the have silky touches and sublime skills. I reckon every portuguese kid goes through diving practice. And the commentators are wondering why crowds are dropping off in portugal, stamp it out you twats!!!!

tha fact that he lashed out at a ambulance assistant while still on the pitch makes it worse for him. Its not the ambulance fellas fault he was a cut on his leg.

Am I mistaken, or was there a time not so long ago when it was frowned upon for players to attempt to coerce a ref into carding an opponent? Sadly it seems this sport becomes more unsportsmanlike every year, I guess that's what happens when it's such a huge business.

Btw, those comments weren't directed toward any individual player, seems most of them carry on this way these days.

Chelsea 1up but Blackpool had the better half
Drogba and Torres awful. Zirkov crap. Chelsea look nothing like the team that won 5 on the bounce at the start of the season.

3-0 Chelsea
Lampard pen
Lampard 2nd

Drogba off "injured" although he didn't look like he wanted to on, neither does Torres who is disinterested. Kalou has put more effort in in the 10 mins he's been on than Torres has on 65 mins

Blackpool pull one back with 5 mins to play
Keep their record of scoring in every home game this season. Only United can boast the same

All over
Chelsea win 3-1

Blackpool have lost more at home than any other EPL side yet they have won more away from home than Man Utd, and Bloomfield Road is the only ground where both sides have scored in every game.

101 goals scored in Blackpool's 28 games, so don't expect a goaless draw when they are in town

Been meaning to come back to this post, which is pretty accurate I reckon ... There has been a greater evenness to the competition this year, and even the best team has struggled consistently on the road.

Whilst they are still the best sides going around, the current Man U and Arsenal sides aren't on a par with previous, dominant versions IMHO .. That therefore, makes the 2 clubs even more worthy of praise I think, for the fact that they are still clearly the best two running around this season.

Chelsea are the disappointing ones (obviously Im disappointed with my own mob, but the ownership saga meant something like that was always on the card).

To a player, Chelsea and Man City probably boast as much if not more talent, than say Man U and Arsenal, but what they don't have is the culture of the other two clubs.

Many (including myself) thought that the likes of Giggs and Scholes would have finished up a couple of years ago, but here they are still, well and truly entrenched among the better players of the competition.

When you consider that Man U have hardly seen Valencia this season, and faced the ongoing battle for availability of Ferdinand and Vidic, what they've achieved up until now is quite remarkable.

Pricks! lol

I said about a month ago im still very wary of chelsea, they have the best squad in the EPL and are quite capable of stringing 7 or 8 wins in a row to close out the season. They are within 9 points of united with a game in hand and travel to old trafford in a couple of weeks. If united and arsenal have a couple of hiccups i can see chelsea leapfrogging both

I don't think anyone would be stunned if it happened, but I just think they've left it too late .. Whilst they might have picked up a few results lately (inc the big scalp of your mob), they still haven't been putting out sparkling performances (I haven't seen this morning's game, but JTC tended to suggest it wasn't a special performance by any means) to swell confidence in them - I think your concern is probably more based around whether they can re-capture form we haven't seen from them in a long time.

I saw bits of this morning and they were ordinary but scored 3. Against us they were average but still won. A sign of a good side is one that is playing ordinary but still rack up wins. United and arsenal are on the home stretch but are starting to show signs of faltering

Disagree.
Arsenal in form should have no problems disposing of sunderland at home. Reckon their form is a tad off.

Haha, VP, Fab, Wall, make a big difference. Not having a loss for over 12 games doesnt indicate faltering. maybe if they start losing i will agree
