Didnt think chelski or the arse were after a striker :D

I love it how the poor cousins talk themselves up

Trophies last 5 years.

Arsenal - 0, that is nil, zilch, f..k all, none.

Spurs - 1, albeit the mickey mouse one, but still silverware and we have employed a cleaner to ensure it it cleaned and on display whenever the goons visit.

is there any player in the world that is not linked to a move to tottenham in the transfer window? Next they will be targetting messi ;) ?

and its funny how spurs fans are quick to remind us on how we havent won anything since the 2006 FA cup final yet they wont be reminded on how much they have only one one piece of silverwere for a decade from memory you won the FA cup in mid 80s or something? But you wont be reminded of how you guys struggled around the foot of the table and changed managers like hot dinners year in year out but are quick to remind us on how we have won nothing for five years?

Welcome back Bully and MH, I thought you were going softly softly there, just threw out the carrot and presto the both of you are back. Well done. Jus read on Arry's twitter page, he has spoken to Messi, but barca are paying over the odds for the worlds best player. Word was the land value of the Lane would only cover a weeks salary.

I think he is playing in the only country that can at barca, suppose RM might have a dollar or two to spare should he wish to move. that is unless the Russian or the Saudi's splash out, believe they would be the only 2 EPL clubs that could afford him.

The club has a heart the size of a shelled pea. They are weak as piss as evidenced by their loss to villa last night.

JTC, appears not many City fans in this neck of the woods. Hard to tell, you would be more in the know about their Administration and the changes that have been made in that area and the soccer structure. The Saudi's are not billionaires because they won a lottery, obviously very shrewd business people, so whilst we might not like it, when they get it right and the results suggest they are not far away - look out.

i dont disagree with you Bulls at all. But it proves that money makes the world go around as man city were nobodys a few years ago until a billionaire family/group and company come along. This money is not going to last forever tho. And if FIFA bring the rule in about you can only spend what u earn then they will be goners again if a few years. i.e. tevez wont like taking a pay cut from 500,000 a week to 200,000 a week etc.

1) yes the money will last forever. Well as long as the EPL lasts. Thier wealth is almost limitless
2) any rule FIFA bring in can be circumvented. Profit can be massaged by simply paying £50m for a box for the year

City and thier wealth are here for the long term, unless the Arabs just get bored

Dont have the exact figures on me but i am led to believe Real Madrid have quite a few league titles and European Cups to show in their trophy cabinet.

That is true, they were the best side by a mile.
But im talking last 5-10 years, they were not getting the european sucess they desired so they just went out and bought all the stars. They currently have absolute stars sitting on the bench and have more talent and money than they know what to do with but barca is still trumping them. They havnt had too much sucess in last 5 years with a bottomless pit of money that could buy whoever they wanted
