Up to 30,000 Liverpool fans are struggling to make it to the final after a train derailed overnight and has closed the Liverpool to London line.
Supporters are trying to arrange other forms of transport to arrive in time

Bit hard when half the cars in Liverpool are up on blocks missing their wheels.

Well that was disappointing. Another Final and another loss for Cardiff but they still did well to take Liverpool all the way to penalties. Hopefully this will revive the Bluebirds season after a mini-slump lately (possibly with an eye on this game) and they can get a small measure of revenge in the league next season.

I don't have Fox at the moment so didn't get up to watch it, instead I woke to a text from my Liverpool supporting mate congratulating me on Cardiff winning the trophy. I was pretty pumped about this, then noticed that the game isn't actually over yet and we end up losing. Not happy about that.

Dirk Kuyt comments today had me stitches.
He stated that Liverpool winning the Carling Cup was more important to him than Holland making the WC Final =)) =))

I don't know if it's just me and because my team was involved, but it seemed as though the whole Carling Cup was really hammed up throughout the media this season .. Hey a trophy's a trophy and I'll take it, but it's a Mickey Mouse cup and can't understand the fuss that's been made in a lot of circles.

Yeah felt the same, the media has been hyping it up all season when really in the scheme of things it ranks way below finishing 4th and the FA Cup. I think because it was Liverpool's first silverware in 6 years for such a big club the media made a big fuss about it.
