The ref was bad, and most other supporters from other supported teams are saying it. The second penalty was a disgrace. The first was not.
But you had 2 penalties and one goal from open play AND you had one extra player, so I would be more worried if you didn't get anything from the game.
you would have beaten barca even with those odds
and we should have had our keeper sent off also

Well done to your team, you played well. Considering your recent form of last season you have improved. But not I am talking up the chavs but we will see how good you are when you play them on wed night.

and now I have just seen the ref for the arsenal vs villa game is not required this weekend for EPL games....

I don't think I've heard the manager of any of the bigger clubs ever come out and say anything like that, it's always the ref's fault.

Even Holloway was blaming the Ref for their loss to Spurs lol.

It's a cultural thing in the sport I reckon, Ive never really understood it.

Its an English thing and I personally dont have a problem with it.
The Managers are not going to admit they got it wrong for fear of getting the sack so they just deflect criticism away from themselves or the club. Refs are easy to heap blame on because any major decision usually affects the result.
The ref was terrible in that game. The second penalty wasnt there and the send off wasnt either.
But to counteract that Arsenals keeper should of been sent of earlier, straight red everyday of the week

Well at least you acknowledge we played well. No side beats Arsenal at the Emirates without playing well.

I have no expectation of us beating Chelsea just like I had no expectation of beating Arsenal. We may well cop a hammering on Wednesday night. I'm a realist and am not getting carried away with one surprise win. If we can stay safely clear of the relegation zone this season I'll be satisfied.

Villa will be well clear of the relegation zone.
Had them pencilled in as top 10 before start of season, they will be hard to beat

Still , you had 2 penalties and one extra player . With those odds it is a shoe in win basically . I would have been worried for your sake if you didn't get anything from the game with those stats

Blow for West Ham with Alou Diarra requiring a ACL reconstruction after being injured in the Carling Cup midweek.
Will probably miss most of the season

Don't mistake him for diame, diarra is drunk it's disappointing they were going to move him on to free up salary to bring another in

yeah i think he will fit in very well and as this stat shows will bring others into the game. Jack, Carzola and him should work well together through the midfield
