Well done Jets.
the only good thing out of the match was that at least it wasn't Scotty Tunbridge who scored a goal against us!

Round 19 results

Wellington Phoenix lost Sydney Bling 0-2

Newcastle Jets def Adelaide United 2-1

Queensland Roar lost Melbourne ##### 1-2

Perth Glory drew Central Coast Mariners 1-1

The top four now are;
CCM on 31
Roar on 30 * by goal difference*
Bling on 30
Jets on 28

Adelaide & Melbourne are the only sides mathematically a chance to make the four.
All current top four sides can finish top, CCM,Roar & Bling are guaranteed finals spots...

I would have thought that Central Coast, Queensland, Sydney and Newcastle all are a mathetmatical chance of making the four as well. :?

Have heard a few rumours. Wellington Phoenix are trying to get Kevin Phillips to the club next season as a marquee. They are also trying to get Durante from Newcastle. Newcastle are also making a huge bid for Adelaide United's Nathan Burns.

Yeah true mate, I think Ive been through 7 teams in the A League, the good news is none of my teams have lost Grand Finals!

PS Mori doing another stint with the Mariners sealed it, was sealed even more when J.Aloisi joined them with Vidmar and Tobin already there.

The bling Sydney will also move earth and water to get Burns as well, Kosmina was quoted as saying in one of the Sydney papers.

Been great in matches that stop Adelaide from having any chance of making the finals!

I like all 4 of the finals sides but still hope the Mariners win it, so hopefully that turns around. Wouldn't surprise me if they did as Adelaide City did it many times when being the most successful South Australian soccer team on a national stage.
Mind you as long as the Mariners don't lose a final by 6 goals I'll be happy though.
Would be happy to have my 2nd team the Roar get up too, always had a soft spot for Newcastle and if Kossie took it out with Sydney I could think of nothing funnier.
A Win/Win/Win/Win situation! :D

Hopefully Qld and Sydney draw tonight, that would leave 4 teams all on 31 pts which would be amazing going to into the last round. Even better with Adelaide and Melbourne not in them. :D

Still level with 30 mins left, even with a draw Qld will jump from 3rd to 1st on goal difference, Sydney would also jump from 4th to 2nd leaving Central Coast in 3rd and Newcastle in 4th.
Best season of A League ever. Almost as good as the NSL!
