If anyone is to complain or whinge about a lack of money during the transfer windows its me... Everton are still competitive on the field with the big money spenders but lack the consistency against the rest of the league teams to get that top 4 finish or Europa League place. Having said that we would have secured a Europa League place had the cup finals turned out a little differently.
The start to our last few seasons has been atrocious and then we come home like a steam train. I am pretty sure we have the upperhand on Man City, happy to be corrected if i am wrong (that might come back to bite me after this weekend). It is not all about the money, it is about the squad you build and the culture/harmony throughout the squad that counts and i think Everton are a perfect example of how to go about business with bugger all funds.
