I was really worried that we would paper over the cracks, and allow the club the opportunity to trot out the usual BS excuses "we weren't far away", "other competitions took their toll", "missing player x hurt", blaa, blaa, blaa.

Our squad is sub-standard, as is our Manager (as much as I love the great man) .. The owners can't hide from these facts and need to fix it.

3 years ago when you beat man utd 4-1 at their ground in the last few games of the season, where you were on top then from memory??? its gone downhill from there IMO!

I dont see liverpool (like us) winning the EPL for many years now....

No we were a couple of points behind, although we had held the lead just after the midway point of that season IIRC (Jim??)

Much more quality in that lineup to where we are today .. Gerrard was at his peak, as was Torres .. Alonso and Mascherano were superb in the middle of the park, and there were a couple of underrated types like Arbeloa (IMHO).

The de-construction of the club from then on by H&G is well documented, but in some respects we still feel the aftermath of that, and in some respect it's an excuse .. KK was given decent money to spend last transfer season, and we're not a club financial enough to carry a 35-million pound player who gives little in return.

It will be a long time before Liverpool genuinely press for EPL honours unfortunately

Well when we go into normal time at the end of this week early games will now be at 4am, so even better I'd say
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

United v City is a classic example of a Champion Team v A Team Of Champions.

I hate seeing Man United increase their record, but they are SO much more worthy than City.

And if you're picking "me first" types like Balotelli, which Ferguson would never tolerate, you get everything you deserve

Everton 1-0 tottingham
Chelsea 0-0 tottingham
Tottingham 1-1 Stoke

Would you like me to remind you of more of your poor results???

Oh thats right, you only appear when your football club is actually winning ;) or when the bigger club ARSENAL has a poor result
