Good luck to him back at WHL, yeah I wasn't impressed with his sulkability but he didn't really recieve a great deal of opportunity or work within a system that perhaps best supported his talent.

Watch the prick score at Anfield later in the season lol

Fair commitment? What about his commitment after signing a 5 year contract in May, then on the first sniff of Liverpool interest and after seeing his feeder buddy sod off to the dark side, he buggers off up norf leaving the club he's so committed too, totally in the lurch in the striker department. Don't get me wrong, Keane was great while he was at Spurs until March 2008. Since and going forward, it's very much 'meh' IMHO. Fans sang 'Jermaine Defoe is Yiddo' for 6 weeks prior to little man coming back to the club - because we all know that JD is committed to Spurs. When Keane returned to the Lane in that horrid red shirt, he received respectful applause, but not 1 mouth sang for his return. I'm willing to wager that Keane's name won't be sung loudest as it once was. In the eye's of most Spurs fans, this is like hooking back up with a girlfriend that you really liked after she dumped your ass for the bloke down the road with bigger muscles and a better car, then came crawling back wanting everything to be like it was........we all know who the loser is going to be out of this.

You know full well I wasnt talking about that ... How many players go on and on about the chance to play Champions League? Keane had it, and it's highly unlikely he'll ever have it with Tottenham, so that should carry at least a morsel of weight ... No doubt Keane's returned for his own personal reasons, which is understandable given the time he was (or more pertinantly wasnt) getting with the Reds.

I don't really care how he goes at WHL or whether the spurs fans cheer for him, he's not one of ours now so not worth worrying about.

(Funnily enough, I thought our game against Chelsea was probably tailor-made for him the other night, there was a few opportunities for poachers, and like Owen that's pretty much what he is)

I understand the lure of playing UCL is great for most players. But Keane is returning simply because he isn't good enough to command playing time at a UCL side. Hence my outburst about his commitment.

I'm sure he'll try his best for Spurs, but as a person, he's just a money grabbing, glory hunting club slut like the other 98% of footballers.

And on us never being a UCL side....unfortunately, I agree.

Just announced that Robbie Keane is club captain.

What a ******* joke. I mean seriously, what the **** is going on down at the Lane? Way to really get the players onside. Keane waltzes back in and oh...here you go, you can be captain again...anything else????

Arry is a joke. That's right I'm turning.

This is disgraceful.

Yep ... Apparently we still owe them 10 mil, so I reckon It will waive that and cost them about 3 or 4 mil on top, well below what we paid for him.

Keano back to Spurs for £12m.

Now here is some intersting stats.

Cost Liverpool £1.2m for every goal he scored.
Cost Liverpool, £5,247 for every minute he was on the pitch (that's $11,000 per minute, in new money)

Despite everything, Keano was a hero at Spurs and put in many decent performances. Obviously he didn't "fit in" at Liverpool, but therre are so many other good players that didn't fit in too.

Hius heart was at WHL when he was there and it strikes me as a pretty decent bit of business for Spurs to make £8m profit in under 6 months. A an even better move making him captain for his 1st game. Personally, I have no doubt he will deliver too, for two reasons. 1) He loves the club, 2) he will want to shove it up Rafa's arse.

Great Analysis JTC. Hopefully he can cover Defoe in his absence and can gel quickly with his old and new teammates!

Spurs will enter this game with real momentum re the return of Keane.

But history says that Spurs have not beaten the scum for 10 years in the league , we have won one game in our last eight and Le Arse are unbeaten in their last ten with five draws.

My prediction

Spurs 2 Arse 1

Goals - Keane and Zakora coming off the bench to score the winner.

Even as the most optimistic Spurs fan, I'm going to have to pull you up on that prediction EOT.....Zokora to score?!!!!! I think you need a smilie or a wink after that tip mate!!!

If Zokora scores the winner against the scum, I will get his name tatoo'd on my forehead.

Zoko has not scored a goal in his entire 80 game career. He is very close to the record for a midfielder for most games played without scoring. Love the bloke, but when he sees the goals, his right foot gets the heebeejeebee's. Doo doo doo didier zokora doo doo doo!!!!

On the result of 2-1 - bang on mate. Lets do the filth.

Haha! Don't worry mate. I could just about raise that bet to the rest of his career with Spurs and be fine.

If he does ever score, I will go bananas. It will be like winning the world cup.

That will never be me. It's one of my biggest hates in sport - people leaving early.

My old man left the Port v Brissy game last year at 52 points up. He didn't even listen to the game on the radio on his way home. Then when he gets home, realises we lost by 9 points....what a goose!

A funny moment was on the tube after seeing the 4-4 at the Emirates last year. These 2 Spurs fans got on and for the whole 30 min trip, one was giving it to his mate for making them leave early at 4-2 down. Stupid Lemming!
