It is such a bullshit rule, this would be one of the only comps that go by this rule wouldn't it?

er....um....yeah, ummm. my name is errr. just call me j. I am feeling really depressed and I think I might go and do something stupid. I have had some weird dreams lately. I dreamt that Burnley would beat Spurs 3 - 0 and Jay Rodrigues would score the last goal, but after it, I was really unhappy.

I don't know why I would be so unhappy after Burnley won 3 - 0, but I am and now I don't know what to do.

I've tried to dampen the sad feelings with alcohol but it isn't working. :( Please can you help me :( I feel sick :(

Semi finals are played over two legs HOF.

Burnley lost the 1st leg 4 - 1 at Spurs.

tonight in the 2nd leg, Burnley won 3 - 0, which is an amazing result and I felt so proud of them.

Anyway, the aggregate score after the ninety minutes was 4 - 4. There is an away goals rule which means that if the scores are level, then an away goal counts as double. Burnley had the away goal from the 1st leg. but a couple of years back they decided to change the rule so that the away goal would still count double but only after an extra thirty minutes had been payed and then only if the scores were still level.

We had played 118 minutes of football (only 2 minutes left) and Burnley were still winning 3 - 0 on the night and drawing 4 - 4 on aggregate. If Burnley could have held onfor the last two minutes they would have made it to the final against Man U. but spurs scored twice, 118, and 120 minutes to go through.

had they not changed the rule, Burnley would have gone through on the away goals rule after the ninety minutes and we would have bneen in the final.

either way, it was a very depressing end to the game.

How can people say football is a boreing game after that, some people don't have any idea. JTC you would have thought you were home at the 115th minute mark.

Lost my voice ballhog.

Stupid thing is all the Clarets were singing Wemberleeey, Wemberleey. I was telling them to shut the **** up. you just know when that happens, something goes wrong.

**** sake. sing Wemberleeey when we get there and don't tempt providence.

So high and then so low. anyone who says the football is a boring game, is talking out of their arse.

Fantastic game of football and so so so bloody emotional. After ninety minutes i went inside and had to down 3 sambucca's just to get my nerves back.

Shocked, and utterly drained. It's 10 past 1 in the morning here and I have no desire to go to bed whatsoever.. I have 3 beers lined up, sat on the sofa watching skysports news who just keep playing the game highlights over and over. and that interview with Harry Redknapp.

I really liked Arry as a manager, but after tonights comments, he can just **** off. give some credit to the Clarets you southern prick. We did stuff you 3 - 0. wanker

Thank you C_P, I actually feel better.

We will have to have a beer together Jabber just to toast the great efforts of both Derby and Burnley. I know we already have a beer booked, but we will have to have an extra one ;)

Derby v Forest, in the FA Cup on Friday night. should be interesting with former Rams manager Davies in charge at Forest and former Forets idol and son of Cloughie in charge at the Rams.

Duelling banjos springs to mind ;)

shame because there was a clear push in the back on Akinbadbuy, and Spurs scored from the resulting non foul. Jensen was so close to keeping it out too.

Overall, spurs didn't really offer anything and and that twat Bently should have walked for his two footed challenge on Eagles after the ball had gone. Instead he gets a yellow. Poor piece of reffing there. Having said that I thought the ref did ok tonight. missed two handballs by the Spurs defenders, but when they do it on the blind side you can't blame the ref for not seeing it.

I watched the after match interview, Arry is a wanker. I had a lot of respect for him up until tonight. to say that Burnley didn't have much of the ball and didn't really threaten is bollocks.

We scared the s***t out of them. and the longer the game went on the more likely we looked like winning, until that dreaded extra time.

Surely he didn't say that? Didn't have a lot of the ball and didn't threaten? I thought it was 3-0 after 90 minutes......
