Championship will be interesting next season with Birmingham going down as well. At least they won a trophy I guess.

Come on Marty. Their defence was leaky but call them amateur level is going a bit over the top.

And I wouldn't mind the clarets winner 4-3 every week.

Blackpool are the 1st EPL side to get relegated from the EPL after scoring more than 50 goals in a season. To be fair, any other year 39 points would have been enough to keep them up

Spot on, they leaked a few only because they were looking to score at other end and got hit on the break a fair bit. I think in most games they as many if not more shots on goal than their opponents.
I may be corrected but I do think they were one of the two sides to do the double over Liverpool this season, not bad for amateurs

They conceded 78 goals this season, the most in the League. If their defence had been slightly better they would have picked up the extra point needed for survival with a better goal difference as well which was also 2nd worst in the EPL.

seems that way seen as they are in the championship next season.

Looked like world beaters in the first game at wigan, but the following 2 games was 6-0 at arsenal and then 6-0 to chelsea also from memory?

McLeish keeps his job

give him some coin

hopefully we will go up after a year down, but in that year down we will win the FA CUP and could even take out the Europa League

whatever they didnt play good enough so they went down whatever the results were.

They were up against Man United in both games against them and they lost both.

They wouldn't be alone there Bully. Maybe not the best analogy to draw on. Now if you had said Birningham or West Ham..........

Nope. Great entertainment in most of their games but not good enough. Not enough depth, as is usually the case with the newly promotoed sides, and sadly for them this season 39 points wasn't enough.

I see Leicester have / are releasing 10 players. Big shake up there mate.

18 million pound for a goalkeeper and the promise of more signings to come. This will be the first offseason in many a year that Utd have been major players in the Transfer market.

Interesting that Samir Nasri's name keeps popping up in the gossip circles as a potential Utd signing.

i think thats just rumours. Why would Wenger sell Arsenals best player of this season to a title rival in the same league? And sami nasri is signing a new contract as we speak with Arsenal.

Apparently Nasri has one year remaining on his contract and has been stalling on signing a new one for some time.

With the french connections at Arsenal you would think it would be strange for him to move north to Manchester. If he was leaving you would think it would be to play in another league. But who really knows i guess.
