Whooooooaaaaaaaa
Chavskie held 1-1 at the Bridge by lowly Southend. What a fantastic performance!

Derby came from behind twice going down 2-0 before levelling then down 3-2 before finishing stronger in a thriller at 4-3 up over Forrest Green. What a game.

Possibly the result of the day goes to Notts Forrest who managed a 3-0 thrashing of Man Citeh. Mark Hughes is gaaawwwwwn IMO.

QPR and Burnley toughed out a 0-0 draw. Good result for the Clarets being able to take the hoops up to Turf Moor.

West B rom were held 1-1 by Peterborough.

All other results pretty much went as expected. Liverpool have the late K-O at Preston. No easy outing up there.

This will be Robbie Keanes 1st and last season at Liverpool IMO.
His body language and emotions is exactly the same as Bellamy and he didn't last long.
I'm not concerned about his lack of goals, it's when he's the 1st to have a go at a team mate for a wayward pass or not passing to him at all and then when he misses 2 sitters from 3 yards out which happened against Preston he starts laughing about it.
Not the kind of attitude team mates enjoy as far as I'm concerned.

Unfortunately for Cardiff, I can't see Ledley being there past January mate.

Plenty of interest in him from up top. He's quality.

I agree Smithy. He seems a different player at Liverpool. At Spurs, he was the go to man, so I guess that explains why he didn't really spit the dummy much - the ball was always played to him.
I wouldnt go as far as comparing him to Bellamy though. Bellamy is a bad, bad egg.
Those misses were a little   if not completely farcical.

I am a bit worried about that but he has said before he wants to play for Cardiff in the EPL, there is a chance that could happen next season too....

I also saw Robbie Keane's efforts before hahaha at least he is making contact with the ball now.

That's a great attitude for Joe to have, however, in this world, money rules. Still, if th bluebirds did manage promotion, who knows?

And Keano was always criticised for his finishing or lack of ability to do so. He would score a wonder goal then miss an absolute sitter. We got 20m for him because Berbasulk made him look bloody good. He and Bent are complete opposites. Bent is a class finisher, but needs it on a plate. I'm still yet to see Bent score a 30 yard screamer.

Just different types of strikers mate, Bent (from what I've seen) is like Owen, in that they are inside-the-box players only ... Not too many Torres or Rooney types in the EPL who have the inside and outside game on a consistent basis.

Bent like Owen.....if only!!! . I know what you mean though.

Then there's Berbasulk, who when he wants to, makes anything and everything happen all over the pitch. It still hurts seeing him in that awful red shirt.

LOL Yeah I was going to mention something like that .. Was always going to be interesting with Owen, in that during his earlier years he had the pace to take the ball into the box himself, or just out-point the defenders in the box to end up on the end of a pass or loose clearance ... He is still a high quality Johnny-on-the-spot, but the drop in physical attribute was always going to diminish a fair part of his game.

Gee whiz, how well are Blackburn going?? Just a set piece to squeeze past the Blyth Spartans, who are only 3 points from being relegated from the Blue Square North! And they should have equalized late! It's amazing how close games between absolute minnows and EPL teams in the FA Cup are on a consistent basis. Big Sam would be a very relieved man! The sideline interviews with each manager midway through the second half were interesting. Should be more of it! Setanta would be right up there with my favourite channels. Nothing but football and cricket! =D>

Just on Cloughy's return of sorts. Burton Albion is my cousins "local" club, and they are carving up the Nationwide Premier League ATM. 13 points clear and looking really good for promotion to League 2.

Also former Derby defender Roy McFarland has taken over at the Brewers !!

Yeah both with Successful. Won the League at Derby and won everything with Forest except the FA cup! LEague Cup, the League itself and the Euro !!

Nigel played over 300 games for Forest too ! What a homecoming he'll have !!
