correct i agree im sure fergie will buy someone just as good or a few players to fill the missing link

There is noone just as good as him! Fergie will just be hoping the sum of the players he gets in will equal more than what he has lost.

I see United have already started spending the cash with the purchase of Antonio Valencia from Wigan for AU$35m. Still AU$130m or so to go...

Edited. Star is singular = Wigan. Stars are plural = Everyone else but Wigan

I'd love to sign Valencia, what a gun.

Anyway you are whinging about other clubs stealing your players, what about what you have done to the poor old jack bastards? You are trying to nick their gaffer Martinez.

Hey Marty, Burnley's first home game is against the Red Devils. Odd feelings about this game. Dread and Excitement at the same time

It will be a pretty special day for you regardless... first home game in the EPL vs the reigning champs. You might get lucky though, United are notoriously slow starters so who knows what can happen.

Gomez is a bit of a risk IMO and hardly a "poached star" as he is yet to be fully proven at Premier League level.

More bad luck for Man U.

KEEPING HEADACHE FOR FERGUSON

Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted he faces a major dilemma over his goalkeeper for Manchester United's Community Shield showdown with Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.

With Edwin van der Sar sidelined for two months after breaking two fingers during the recent Audi Cup in Munich, both Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczak are pushing to replace the Dutchman.

Injuries are mounting for Man U. Wes Brown out for Sunday, maybe next week too and now...

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic will miss start of the new season

By Sportsmail Reporter

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has been ruled out of the start of the Barclays Premier League season with a calf injury.
Vidic will miss the Community Shield showpiece against Chelsea on Sunday at Wembley and the following game against Birmingham City.

And hopefully the following Wednesday. With a bit of luck Fergie will not bother to risk him
