As a nuetral, I think you can kiss the "bitches" record good bye this week DA. imo Chelski are a better outfit than Man U right now and they destroyed Spurs last wekk.

Not sure where to post this "joke" story. I say joke, because surely Redknapp, to quote John McEnroe, you can't be serious?

Anyway, it would fit equally well in the Arsenal or Man City thread, although why Redknapp feels he has to add his 2cents worth to the fire, only he knows

These idiots want to start riots! Harry Redknapp blasts Arsenal fans as he defends Emmanuel Adebayor's goal celebration as 'fair play'

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has criticised the role of Arsenal fans in Emmanuel Adebayor's controversial goal celebration for Manchester City last weekend.

Adebayor sprinted the length of the field after scoring against his former club, leading to a Football Association charge over the scenes.

'I've got no time for people kicking anybody or being violent on the football pitch and he was wrong to run the length of the field,' Redknapp said. 'But it's very difficult when you're getting abuse throughout the game like he was.

'It's not celebrating a goal that cause riots, it's idiots who want to start riots. If I had been standing there and we had been giving him grief all game and he did that, I would probably say 'fair play'.'

And good riddance to him, after what he did at Turf Moor last year. Bastard

Thanks to the Mail

Spurs bench-warmer Roman Pavlyuchenko lined up for £9m January move to Zenit St Petersburg

Zenit St Petersburg are ready to launch another attempt to sign Roman Pavlyuchenko in January.
The Russians made a bid during the final week of August but could not agree a fee with Tottenham Hotspur for the unsettled striker.
Zenit instead took former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman on loan from Paris Saint-Germain with a view to a permanent deal.

Yeah, we were up against it, but by all accounts gave a good performance. But the class gap is huge and with no Modric, Woodgate and King then Bassong going off injured, a miracle was required.

And wash your mouth out - cashly doesn't deserve any recognition EVER. :D

Bassong went off on stretcher with his neck in brace didnt look good, but you know its bad when both sets of players are looking to see if he is alright.

And here's one just for DA

Bring Sol Campbell back to Spurs? I'd love to but it's not worth the hassle, insists Harry Redknapp

Harry Redknapp has backed Sol Campbell to return to the Premier League after his Notts County fiasco - at any club other than Tottenham.
Spurs boss Redknapp insists 35-year-old Campbell is too good for League Two, has three years at the top level left in him and is not driven by money.
But although the ex-England skipper tops Redknapp's shopping list, he knows Campbell could never again play for the White Hart Lane club after his controversial move to North London rivals Arsenal in 2001.

Now steady DA. Your response will be subject to moderation :D ;)

LOL, I thought someone would pick up on this sooner or later - thanks JTC!

This is a response to the same discussion currently being had on a Spurs forum:

Not even if resigning him guaranteed us winning the league, fa cup, champions league, world cup (the international one), twelve oscars, the turner prize and a lifetime coupon for sexual favours from the 10 Hollywood Actresses of your choice.

Not even if resigning him guaranteed a cure for AIDS, and end to world hunger, an flawless justice system, peace between all nations and the removal of Michael Bay from any directors chair.

Not even if resigning him led to me being able to predict lottery numbers, football results, racing winners, boxing outcomes, and gave me the power to control peoples minds.

Under no circumstances. Not even if we had not one fit defender, midfielder or goalkeeper above the age of 15, he was the worlds best footballer and without him we would be certainties for relegation to the conference but with him we were certainties for domination of the football world for the next 40 years.

NO WAY!

That's a pretty strong indication of just how much dislike there is for that horrible prick among Spurs fans.

However, attached to the discussion on the Spurs forum is a poll - would you have him back? Amazingly 12.5% of 360 voters would have him back. They're clearly not real Spurs fans!

In all seriousness though, he's not good enough for a club challenging for Europe and Daniel Levy would never be silly enough to sign him bacause it would be like signing his own suicide note.

When Keano left, he left for a club he supported as a boy, a club that was in the CL and he never said he was going to stay blah, blah, blah. He said he was interrested and handed in a transfer request. Yes it was a shit thing for him to do, but at least he didn't treat our club like shit like Scumball.

That Judas prick came to the end of his contract, banged on all season that he would wait until the end of the year to sort out his contract so as not to disrupt his form, said he loved the club and would never leave etc. He then went behind everyone's back and engineered a move to the Scum, completely selling out Spurs, who got not one cent for his transfer - Sol got approx 8m quid out of it personally, not to mention the fact that he was moving to our arch rivals.

That single action by Judas set Spurs back BIG TIME in terms of being competitive with the big boys and for that, no Spurs fan will ever forgive him.

Even the way Berbatoss left was far better than Judas in that we at least received a huge sum for him.

Sol = prick

Here's the latest on Spurs boss Redknapp. Interesting to see the odds of him leaving Spurs slashed fron 50/1 to odds on at one stage

Harry Redknapp dismisses exit fears as punters flock to the bookies to bet on Tottenham boss leaving White Hart Lane

Harry Redknapp has treated with derision the suggestion that he was poised to leave Tottenham.
Wild betting patterns slashed the odds that he would be the next Barclays Premier League manager to leave his job from 50-1 down to evens and then odds-on at some bookmakers.

‘It’s utter nonsense,’ said Redknapp. ‘I couldn’t be more happy than I am now with Spurs.’
Preparing for the trip north for today’s game at the Reebok Stadium, he joked: ‘Yeah, I’m leaving. We’re off to Bolton in two hours!’

Seems that the betting bonanza claimed by William Hill was sparked by a rumour that Redknapp was part of a consortium ready to rescue Portsmouth after their latest financial crisis.

Redknapp admitted he had heard the whispers, saying: ‘Someone rang up the other day and said I was getting up a group of investors to buy Portsmouth.

So Arry is under investigation again !!!

Allegations in the press over here is that Dellboy Redknapp pocketed £100k from former Pompey owner Milandric and he will be investigated by the Inland Revenue (they are the UK's tax office)

Now apparently there are three stories from the 3 key players, none of which match each other. According to Arry, he had a clause in his contract at Pompey that he would get 10% of any profit made on any player that he brought to the club, who was subsequently sold on.

Peter Storrie, the current CEO of Pompey says, "that is not quite correct", the deal was reduced to 5% and the payments in question concern the sale of Crouch to Spurs. now arry took Crouch to Pompey, and guess who took Crouch to Spurs (no points for a correct answer to this).

Meanwhile, Milandric, former owner of pompey says the £100k has nothing to do with any sale of players. It was a private deal between him and Arry, as Arry had some interests in the states that he wanted to pursue. So Milandric deposited the bunce into Arry's Monaco bank account.

Arry says he has done nothing wrong, that there was no bunge and that Pompey paid the tax on the deal.

Storrie of course says otherwise. He says it wasn't pompeys responsibility to pay Arry's tax for him.

So no doubt this story will roll on over the next few days / weeks / years / decades / century..............

Sorry DA and co but some potentially bad news now getting flagged up on the tv here.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8357262.stm
(link to full article)

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has suffered "potentially life-changing injuries" in a motorbike accident in east London, police said.

He was taken to hospital after his BMW bike was involved in a collision with a car in Walthamstow at about 1030 GMT.

He has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis but a spokesman for the north London club said they were still waiting for hospital test results.

The Italian, 36, signed from London rivals Chelsea in January this year.

The female driver and a child passenger walked away from the Ford Fiesta Cudicini was in collision with and did not need hospital treatment.

Silly Carlo Cudicini - what was he doing riding a motorbike? I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs come out and take legal action against him when he's on the mend. By all accounts, his operations went well though, so fingers crossed he makes a full recovery.
