if the rumours going around saying that Man Utd arent in the running for any trophies this season....well i would hate to see them at their best if everyone is predicting no good for them after this mornings result.

But owen looked lost for the first half....gone long from his liverpool days

Solid enough start for United. Might have been a different story if the Geordies had scored from a corner early on. But once United finally broke through it was 1 way traffic for the rest of the match.

A solid performance from Berbatov. Utd will need that on a consistent basis (especially in the big games) if they are going to go one better in the league this year.

have man utd won away from home yet this season?

goes well for the comp this time around as the bigger clubs are all struggling to get results away from home. might be a good thing instead of seeing the saem 4 clubs at the top all the time

In the League... no. 4 draws from 4 games I think it is.

We can win in Spain but not in Sunderland.

Big story breaking here this am is that Rooney will soon be gone from united
Apparently he has fallen out with fergie big time over his private life and his contradiction of fergie when he said Rooney,s form has been due to injuries

No doubt fergie will be rueing the day he let Tevez go

Im hearing that from mates over there aswell. The end is nigh for rooney. Remember what happened to becks, stam. What fergie wants he will get. Bye bye rooney. Bring in torres to fill gap? Im hearing that but no way liverpool will let him come to us. Yes biggest mistake ever not retaining tevez.

Fergie didnt let Tevez go. Tevez walked.

If you have a look at what happened to other players who have had a run in with Sir Alex - Ince, Stam, Bozza, Keane, Beckham, Yorke, Van nistelrooy etc it looks almost a certainty that Rooney will be sold. Big question will be whether they get all of the funds to buy other players or does most of that go back into paying off the debt. My guess would be Rooney to Madrid and Utd get Benzema (who has hardly played under Mourinho) plus cash.

Mate do you really believe that fergie tried to keep Tevez at Man U? Tevez walked because united didn't want him enough to keep him.

Rooney is a certainty to go. Refused to sign a new contract. Real Madrid have already said they aren't interested but in my opinion it wouldn't suprise me to see Rooney turn up at another English club anyway. It's just where he might fit in and who united will be prepared to sell to. Chelsea and City should be out of the running and I couldn't see him fitting in with Arsenals style of play so maybe Liverpool with thier new $$$ might be an option.

Of course he could wait until the end of next season and go anywhere he wants.

Rooney was with Liverpool as a youngster.
He turned up for training in an Everton kit.
I think he made his intentions clear.

Rooney will end up at man shitty. 100 mill reportedly. Fergie wants torres but has been told any money from rooney will go towatds debt. Wont replace him. The financial state of club not good and with the likes of neville, scholes, giggs, van der sar maybe retiring at end of season we need to bring kids on quickly because days of big transfers at utd over

IMO i think fergie will go this season also. Along with the retirements of the older players i see the future of this club not looking good. May do an arsenal and not win much for a few years.

What a big (disappointing) 24 hours. No doubt Rooney will now be moved on and to get the most value you would think that will be in the January window. However as Rooney is cup tied for the Champions League the only team this wouldnt effect is Man City. They are also the most likely to offer the highest wages so I'm guessing that is where he will now head. I wouldnt be surprised if we get something like 20 mil + Santa Cruz and Given or something like that.

If we sell him for more then 27 million 25% of that then has to go to Everton.
