I'm glad Harry is happy, because he's the only bloody person at the Lane who is.

BUT, at the end of the day, we need that weird headed frenchie cry baby. Our defence is more fragile than John Terry's marriage.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp: I've signed William Gallas not the Yorkshire Ripper

Harry Redknapp has urged Tottenham fans to put William Gallas's arrival into perspective by telling them: 'It is not the Yorkshire Ripper I am signing.'
The defender's four years at rivals Arsenal has left fans with divided opinions, but Redknapp wants them to welcome the 33-year-old as he has the experience to help them battle in the Barclays Premier League and Champions League this season.

The Spurs manager also feels the anger at Gallas crossing the north London football divide cannot compare to the poisonous reception he received on the south coast when he switched from Portsmouth to Southampton and back.
Redknapp said: 'It's all cobblers. What has he done? It is not the Yorkshire Ripper I am signing, is it? He is a footballer.

'When he leaves here he might play for West Ham or someone. What's he supposed to do? He's got the bottle to come and play here.'

**** me, Bale is a good player, great pass for Spurs opener and then went on to score it. Won't be long before he is off to Man Cry

DA, I can see why you are creaming over him. Bales 2nd was unbelievable.

How the hell did referee Chris Foy not see the ball cross the line. He was stood about 2 metres away and had a clear view. Pathetic excuse Foy "I didn't see it", what complete bollocks.

DA, gomez is a joke and if Spurs are going to make a real impact in the EPL and Europe, they are going to have to invest in another keeper, imo.

Will be interesting to see where Gallas slots in the selection of central defenders

King
Dawson
Bassong
Kaboul

Nice win at Stoke where points are always hard to come by and our squad was not overly strong due to injuries (out Pav , Keano , Giovani , Modric , Defo from last game)

I have a fair bit of man love for the monkey man.
You're right though, he'll be off to a big club next season unfortunately.

honest opinion on the ball crossing the line incident is that there is sufficient doubt even from the replay that the ref couldn't have possibly been conclusive about awarding that a goal.

Anyhoo, what I found utterly disgraceful was Huth pulling gomes' arms down in the challenge immediately before the shot which crouch cleared at the line. It was a clear foul and the ref was right there. I can't believe the commentators didn't pick it up at the time.

On gomes, he has his moments. I still think he's a top notch keeper, but he does flap too much, especIally away from the lane for whatever reason.

Funnily enough Harry was warning about this just before the game. Sky just kept asking about the 9-1 last year and how shite Wigan are this year. Harry just said he hoped the players have got the CL out of their heads

Obviously they hadn't

Assume DA must be on a well earned break, someone needs to pump the YID boys up after their performance overnight. Round of 16 here we come.

Big call that one Bully after your performance last week, WBA at the mighty Emirates. Would have thought a low profile was called for.
