Watford 0 - Leeds 1

Great result.

Puts us well and truly in the top half, althought its only early days. Very good signs.

Snodgrass and Kisnorbo still out. Our two best players imo and still getting good results.

Ross McCormack made his debut off the bench too.

Don't know if anyone saw the game the the derby between burnley and preston happened last wek at Turf Moor. one of the most incredible finishes i've ever seen.

clarets were 3 - 1 down after taking the lead, and with only 6 minutes left. Then bang, bang, bang, 3 goals to the clarets, the last coming on the 90th minute and Burnley won 4 - 3. Preston were devastaed, two of thier directors had to be "escorted" from the ground.

Ref was shocking, gave preston everything in the 1st half, Prestons equaliser was a clear handball, but then he seemed apologetic in the 2nd half and sent off Morgan for time wasting.

Personally, I think he evened up a big mistake he had made when the same player clearly handballed in the box, stopping a goal bound effort. 3 minutes later he sent off the player for wasting time during a throw in. To be fair, he warned Morgan 3 times to get on with it but equally morgan hadn't wasted much time and having already been booked the ref sent him off. preston fell to pieces and the clarets popped in 3 to win it.

Apart from that it was a poor game, Burnley were woeful, with so many misplaced passes, no movement and no width. Preston was just as bad relying on balls through to thier huge number 9. tracey, ex b4st4rd was thier best and got thier 2nd to go 2 -1 up. He duly ran to the Burnley fans and celebrated.

Late on Andy Lonegran, the Preston keeper, decided he would pick a fight with the claret fans behind his goal, firstly by giving them all the Vee's, not just once but several times, before turning to the fans and offering them outside. Three or four fans climbed over the barrier and would have kicked the shit out of him but for the stewards, even though they were all around 15 or 16 year olds, and still Lonegran wanted more, walking back after the whistle to take on the crowd. Eventually some of the Preston entourage came over and led him away.

Expect him to get some kind of penalty for his actions as I have never seen a player react to an opposition crowd like that before. I guess 3 -1 up with 6 mins to play you expect to win, unless your last name is Fergie that is.

Fergie ws at Turf moor to watch his sons' team and ther definitely must have been a sense of de ja vue (sp) with Fergie's Man U surrendering the same lead at Everton. Unfortunately for Fergie jnr, his tema went one step further and manage to lose 4 -3

And of course the tables were turned on burnley on tuesday night at Boro.

Clarets took the lead through andre' Bikey, our best player by a mile this year, in the 2nd half and held on to it until the 80th minute before boro equalised and then scored the winner from a free kick in the 94th minute.

Ref was appalling, handing bor 26 free kicks to 6 for the clarets and seemed to let the game go on until boro finally got the winner. Weel take free to be fair, although it was a very soft free given to Moro just outside the box in a central position. Jensen chose to cover the correct side of the goal but still managed to miss it. He was also at fault for Boro's opener and made two other very poor erros in the 1st half that we were lucky to get away with. Maybe time to give Grant a chance in the nets.

As for Laws, he is not the manager we need. ultra defensive, and playing players out of position, we might as well have Healy as manager. At home we are now playing with 1 up front in Iwelumo and playing long balls through to him. He is a huge unit and wins most of his headers but thee isn't a claret within 20 yards of him.

We are playing Paterson as a right winger event though he is an out and out striker and would make a great crumbing partner for Iwelumo.
We are playing elliot in midfield even though he is a right winger, in fact in out promotion year he was the best right wing in the division and topped the Opt stats for crosses.
Jack cork who is an out and out Midfileder, on loan from Chelsea, can't get a game and warms his arse on the bench even though he completely transforms the game when he on the field (as he did against bothe preston and Leicester)
We played Edgar at right back even though he is a centre back, whilst we had Mick Duff on the bench who is a right back.

Laws has no idea on selection, strategy or tactics. we are losing that free flowing attacking style that has been the clarets for year, and becoming a dour defensive unit that makes too many mistakes because players are out of position.

Hang on a minute....................am I talking about Burnley or North Adelaide. what a time to be a rooster and a claret. I just hope laws goes the way of Healy only just a bit sooner, like this week.

I am really liking the championship this year. As a leeds supporter, i have been pleasantly suprised how they have been going so far, although didn't enjoy the loss to Barnsley mid week. Hope Fox sports show more Championship footbal this season as most of the games have been extremely entertaining!

Just about every Leeds game gets shown on Fox so you shouldn't have a problem there. Hopefully they start to show a few other teams.

Only 3/7 games have been on..

It'd be good if fox could have one channel for the EPL, then use one of their other channels for the Championship, seeing as games are usually on at the same time..

Shocking result for the Foxes last night going down 6 - 0 to Pompey.
Pompey's win leaves Preston at the foot of the table.

6-1 JTC give us some credit!

To think I got up at 4.00 am to watch Leicester serve up the worst game in over a decade - the worst one ever live on TV. I'm not sure out 6-0 loss at Highbury in our last EPL season was on live back then???

 Grezza missed a penalty for the clarets. 1st miss since he joined and only his 6th miss in 80 penalties. Again we hit the woodwork twice and again the final result was a goaless draw

Dropped for the Hull game on Tuesday, and about time too. Eagles was amazing as we romped to a 4-0 win.

Sven Yoran Eriksson will be appointed Leicester City manager this week end.

Not sure he is the guy they need right now. and it will cost them financially big time. Still they will have Sol Campbell signing on to look forward to.

Couldn't believe it. Copped it big time as well. Missing Patrick Kisnorbo and Kasper Schmeichel massively.

We're on TV this weekend, albeit 5:30am Sunday Morning.

An away game at Middlesboro. Hoping for something here. Especially with our mounting injury toll at the moment.

Another solid 3-0 win to the clarets last night
Eagles ran the show and is on fire. Can see us under pressure to keep him come January if his form continues.
