LA 0 to Chelsea 1 and Beckham didn't play much of a game. his Ankle is still sore and i feel that the Galaxy will get their money's worth out of him just in selling tickets and merchandise alone.

Good to see your Clarents matching it with the big boys JTC!

Hope you were near a fire extinguisher!!!!

Spurs 2 - Kaiser Chiefs 1
Spurs goals from the regular culprits Keano and Berbatov. Di-mi-tar Berbatov....Di-mi-tar Berbatov!!!!! Can't wait to launch into that one at the Lane in 3 weeks, followed by the standard COYS!!!!

Was an interesting game - one at a perfect time too.
First half very even, but then in second Chelsea got firing. Scored early after the restart. And threatened several more times. Drogba didn't finish a couple he might normally have.
Galaxy failed to enter attacking half with any consistency until late in the half. Missed a very good header chance with a ball coming in from the right. Ball went over defender's head, Galaxy player in good position to nod it in - but he knocked it over the bar.
Galaxy had an even bigger scare in the final 10 minutes when Beckham went down holding his foot/ankle area. Interesting to see how he recovers after not being supposed to play at all.

Burnley 2 - Leeds 0
Spurs 3 - Orlando Pirates 0 Bent, Berbatov and Taarabt on FIRE.

The start of the season can't come fast enough. Sky installation FINALLY sorted for next Sunday giving me just a 6 day buffer.

Tell me about it. All will be forgiven when I'm watching the first game of the season.....Spurs v Sunderland!!!

P.S. Just got confirmation of my ticket for the Spurs v Everton game at White Hart Lane on Tuesday the 14th. I am that excited I don't think I'll be able to sleep until them. I'm like a kid on Christmas eve!!!

A few results coming through from final warm up hit out before next weeks' kick-off, which IMO cannot come soon enough!!!!

Spurs 2 - Torino 0 (Keano with a cracker and Berba on song. Further note on Spurs, Hossam Ghaly has spat it with Birmingham before his deal was completed. During a training session [WTF is he training with them before the deal has gone through anyway???!!!!The reason he's boing sold is his piss-poor attitude! Poor business!] he was told to some extra work because he came back unfit and overweight. This didn't suit the shirt chucker, so he spat it and the deal is now off. End of his career too FFF-wit!)

Saturday 4/8
Reading 3 - Wolves 2
Aston Villa 3 - Inter Milan 0 (Wow, Villa are making all the right noises. I expect a high finish from them in 07/08)
Man U(re) 3 - Peterborough 1
Portsmouth 3 - Leicester 1 - Nugent starting to show he may be a decent premiership player.
West Spam 2 - Roma 1 - Cracking goal from Ashton. Spammers are lucky to have Ljungberg. Gee I hope they lose a lot though!!!
Sunderland 1 - Juventus 1 Solid result for Keans’ Black Cats
Blackburn 3 - Preston 0 (Oh how I wish Spurs would sign Gamst Pederson for our left side!!!)
Everton 0 - Crystal Palace 0 – Andy Johnson back in action
Derby 2 - Espanyol 2 - Solid result for Rams.

Friday 3/8
Liverpool 2 - Shanghai Shenhua 0 (Torres and Stevie G)
Man U(re) 2 – Doncaster 0
Fulham 1 – QPR 2 – May take the new signings a while to gel. They have almost a full new team!
