Jabber, I also feel for Guus! Aussie Guus is a legend and doesn't deserve to manage the chav twats. I wasn't happy when he signed on for them.

I finally got to see Essien's goal just before and what an absolute stormer that was. A must see.

pity they cant appeal it but im sure your team will fill his spot with a player that has the quality ..
you wont let that spitting incident go will you

I was gutted with the result. We were the best team for 180 minutes. Then a STINGY stoppage time goal. We should have had at least 3 penalties given. But Drogba should have scored that 1 on 1 he had with valdes. Ref was a joke!

Mate, I'd give up on the stingy line, a goal in the 1st minute is worth no more than a goal in the last minute, in any sport for that matter, Im sure Riise's own goal in last years semi was a welcome sight for you (and rightly so).

I sympathise with how gutted you feel mate, but Im over the moon to see Drogba, Terry, Ballack, Frank and (Drogba's synchronised diving partner) Anelka all have their hearts ripped out .. Bunch of sooks and whingers

Thats one of the only goals we've recieved like that. Most of them come against us.

Ballack was just plain stupid at the end and Drogba.... I wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt play another game this season. What a joke. I have come to realise that Anelka is actually quality and is smart unlike drogba who is a total w1nker when things dont go his way.

Drogba should get a year out of Eufa competition for that .. And Terry and Ballack, as past and present captains of their heavyweight nations, should no better than to act as they did - Fair enough to question a decision, but don't carry on like pork chops.

Good point, but on the other side of the argument, they were all penalties and surely something has happened. to miss all of them is pretty rare

Then complain through official channels, dont make your club a laughing stock of world football ... A ref isn't going to change his decision when you have chase him down the pitch lol.

Had to laugh when I got home, I read 3 different articles on the game, and between Lampard, Terry and Ballack the number of penalties was "2 or 3", "4 or 5", "6 or 7" LMFAO .. With inflation like that it'll be 20-odd by next year.

Soo soo true. Its like AFL when players complain, the umpire isnt going to change the decision.

Pretty sure it was 4 penalties that could and should have been given

Anelka was a great player even when he was with us gunners, i was sad to see him go and he is still great. He was the only player that didnt carry on and just played the game. But on drogba and ballack, if anyone remembers a game between Man united and Arsenal at Old Trafford in the year when Arsenal won their last title i think it was a draw and unfortunalty some of the Arsenal players took things into their own hands at the end when Van Noodle dick missed the penalty. From memory four players were banned just for that and that was minor compaired to this mornings game.

Loved the result and seeing Lumpard, Terry, Ca$hley etc etc gutted. GOLD!

The shirt pulling incident in the first half where a free kick was given outside the area was IMO clearly inside the area and should have been a penalty. Pique's handball on about 80mins was a clear penalty too IMO.

However, the last one which resulted in the Ballack clip above was no way, never ever a penalty. The player had his back turned and the ball hit him in the armpit. No chance was that a pen.

Drogba proved all night what a complete and utter spastic he is. On no less than 5 occasions he threw himself on the ground, looked up to see if he'd won a free, then when discovering it was play on, he'd roll over and hold his face until the play was stopped. NO WONDER THE REF GAVE CHAVSKI NOTHING!!! He was probably as frustrated as I was watching that petulant little schoolgirl, so clearly decided to give him or the Chavs nothing. IMO, it's 100% Drogba's fault Chavski lost. This behaviour combined with his pathetic effort when 1 on 1 with Valdes is the reason the Chav's wont be in Rome.

And on the 'stingy' goal, not sure if you saw it, but it was pure class. It was Barca's only shot on target for the whole night and what a way to make it count. Absolute peach of a strike from a standing start with 3 defenders in front and the keeper to beat. Iniesta was Barca's best player IMO on a night when other stars like Messi and Eto'o didn't really fire.

Finally, brilliant, brilliant goal to Essien. 99% of players that score a goal like this is a total fluke. Essien is in the 1% that can do it because they mean to do it. Pure class and one player that I'd LOVE to see in a Spurs shirt.

Un-frigging-believable:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5293440,00.html

Manchester United have lodged an appeal with Uefa to have Darren Fletcher's red card overturned on compassionate grounds.

Uefa rules state that they will not consider any appeals over red cards unless it is a case of mistaken identity, while Rosetti has yet to pass comment on his decision.

However, the club were encouraged by Uefa general secretary David Taylor's comments on Thursday as he said his organisation would perhaps be willing to look at the incident.

If this is overturned, it's a complete disgrace ad makes a mockery of the whole system.

I used to respect Utd. Not any bloody more.

You have lost respect for Utd because they are trying all they can do to have the best chance of winning the final...?

Perhaps you would rather Utd players carry on the same way that Chelski did then...?

Yeah I don't think you can blame ManU for trying it, it's important to show backing of players, and that's what they're doing .. At the end of the day, EUFA will make the decision, and whomever agrees or disagree's with it should be putting that on EUFA's head.

DA if Spurs were in this situation I'm sure you would want them to do the same. The decision was incorrect so they might as well try and appeal it even if it does get rejected.

180 minutes?? are u kidding me. 1 eyed much? 1st leg barca 65% of possesion, 20 shots 6 shots on target. Chelsea 3 shots 1 shot on target. Chelsea absoulute crumbled they got a few bad decisions, but chelsea couldnt put away a 10 man barca.

How is that goal stingy? 90th minute last chance outside of box? barca are a better team and make the final alot more interesting
