VDS has been great for Man U over the seasons. Remember where they were before he joined ;) I guess the problem for a keeper is one blunder costs you a goal, whereas an outfielder gets away with it.

Fergie would be wasting his time, plus Torres isn't stupid enough to go to a rival club like UTD.
In the transfer window I think you'll find us having a crack* at some big name enough to get Torres a bit of support up front [-o<

What do you mean "Torres isn't stupid enough to go to a rival club". I thought you were more level headed than that. Torres couldn't give a rats arse about rivalry, it's the $$$ that count. He plays for whoever pays his wages.

I think the fact of the matter is that United have so much debt, selling players like Ronaldo and Rooney is a way of servicing that debt. It's been on the cards for a few years now and the bigger the debt grows, the more interest they have to pay. The days of Man U being a big spender might well and truly be over.

Fergie is close to retirement and when he does put away his cup and saucer the era of red domination could be over.

A rival club like UTD I said.
he knows the history between the 2, he was a liverpool supporter in spain.
I would doubt VERY VERY much that he'd make the switch.
The club would refuse to sell anyway.

Not having a go mate. I just think sometimes the fans believe that players care as much for the club as they do. Even Gerrard was ready for the off a season or two back until Liverpool gave him a huge pay rise.

Loyalty has pretty much gone out of the window since the influx of foreign players. An exception might be Ryan Giggs. Didn't Rooney get an Everton forever tattoo or something and within 6 months he was at United.

As Keane said recently, players are just pieces of meat.

The hot rumour doing the rounds this week is that cossi11 got so excited with Evertons win over arch-rivals Liverpool that he went and proposed to his long-term girlfriend! @};- #-o

Even more surprising was that apparantly she said "yes".

CONGRATULATIONS COSSI! :-bd

As much as I love Giggs there was talk at one stage of a possible move to Juventis some years ago. Man U have a few loyal lads with Scholes and Neville.

Great comeback from Spurs this morning. Lost 4-3 away to Inter thanks to a Bale hat-trick after trailing 4-0 at half time. Played 80mins with 10 men as well after Gomes being sent off.

Was a good fight but you can't go three goals down in the first 15 minutes of play at this level. Great effort by Bail, has really stepped up this year.

Inter were obviously in another class and took their foot off the pedal and Spurs appeared overawed.

He has been brilliant. He helped win us the Champions League when he saved Anelka's penalty. You are right about keepers and errors though... it was unexpected from VDS as he doesn't do that very often at all.

Bale was brilliant, his finishing was superb.

Watched the Spurs game and I didn't get the impression that inter were a class above at all. Spurs started badly as they have done several times this year. Same thing happened against Young Boys. Personally I think they showed too much respect to Inter and played too far off them.

When they got going, albeit too late, they looked good. Not a red card in my opinion. Ignoring the Inter theatricals the defender was goal side and it wasn't the inter forward would have scored. Definitely a penalty and a yellow card for the tackle. Young inexperienced ref at the San siro who got it wrong.

You cant get a more loyal servant to the club then Scholesy. On the day the story breaks that Rooney wants out, the Ginger ninja crocks him on the training pitch..!!
