I'll add Stewart Downing to that list.

Been great so far.

Henderson on the other hand..........hoping he'll improve.......as nothing so far tells me he's worth 20 mill other than his birth certificate.
He did score a good goal on the weekend so hoping he kicks on from that.

OK, early thoughts on the EPL this year lads?

IMO - City will win it. Currently at $3 with Centrebet which is about right, with Manure at $2.1. Ovbously Manure hav been there and done the dance a million times, but City have more talent IMO. It'll be Manicini's ability to keep the talent focused on football rather than high big each other's bell end is that will be the decider IMO.

Chavs will be 3rd a little way back, but sniffing around as normal.

4th is anyones, but at present, the bindippers look most likely.

After that, it's a dog's breakfast. I honestly think Stoke could challenge Spurs, Arsenal and Everton this year.

At the other end of proceedings, could Blackburn be any worse? They make Derby look like Pep's Barcelona. I expect Norwich to keep them company.

The meat in the sandwich will all be pretty even IMO. I really hope Wigan can stay up. Martinez is a sharp manager and has them playing some brilliant football despite the distinct lack of talent.

Above all, I can't see this season being particularly exciting on many fronts. Utd and Citeh should play each other 3 weeks out of 4 and give Chavski an Liverpoo a crack every other month. The rest of us might as well head down the boozer to watch.

I predicted at start of season we would win easily, possibly by double figures and i see no reason to change that. The Chavs in second for me, City will implode eventually, they may win it in a year or twos time but not this season.
Rovers are rubbish and a monty to go down with Norwich and Swansea.
Still think Sunderland and Stoke will be challenging around the 5,6,7 mark with Everton, Arsenal and Spurs

With all squad changes done and dusted until Jan, my thoughts above don't change much, with the exception of Arseface, who may be a bit closer to Liverpool than I previously thought with the addition of Arteta.

I'd say there will be the following tiers:

1 - Man U, Man C
2 - Chavski

daylight

3 - Liverpool
4 - Arsenal

daylight

5 - Spurs, Everton, Stoke, Bolton
6 - the rest excl Blackburn, Norwich, Swansea

daylight

7 Swansea, Norwich

daylight

8 Blackburn

Thoughts lads?

D.A. Blackburn will finish nowhere but 20th, there owners are in over there heads and have no idea what they are doing. Steve keen looks out of his depth and doesn't seem to have the cattle and one simple thing I just don't think they are good enough.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Yeah, that's my point exactly. They are so bad that if they even manage to get a point, the fans should celerate like it's 1996!

I guess putting an 8 there is confusing.

I reckon QPR will be well ahead of Blackburn.

Wolves should go reasonably well too actually. They're strenthened well since last year.

Isn’t there talk the South Korean signing still has to serve some time in the military…?

Sounds as if the bookies in the UK got it completely wrong overnight. Sneijder was in to something like $1.30 to join Man Utd but obviously didn’t eventuate.
