Watching the Stoke vs Arsenal game last night.

The stoke fans giving it to Arsene is a bit of fun,i can see the humour in that, but then, Aaron Ramsey comes on, and he is booed by the stoke fans!!! What a low in our great game that was. The poor guy, no fault of his own, has a horrifc leg break, by one of STOKES current players, and HE, the player who had his leg broken, is booed. I never thought stoke could go any lower then their rugby style play until last night!!!

Shame on you Stoke city fans, i hope your legs are broken like Aaron Ramseys was, and we will see how you feel when your booed when you have the ball.

Shame shame shame!!!! Disgusting im sorry to say

For the first paragraph, agree...

The 2nd paragraph, pretty stupid thing to say, nothing like rising above and being the better man... or you could do as you have done and sunk to their level. :-bd

It was because Ramsey refused to see Shawcroft in the hospital or accept his apology after the incident and a lot of bad blood has been caused by this.
Shawcroft was also vilified by Wenger numerous times.

Also a rumour is that Ramsay doesn't want Shawcroft in the Welsh team as it would make him feel "uncomfortable"

The booing was out of order though.

so you would be best of friends just after someone broke your leg?? people take things differently and act differently. Like people who have the unfortunate thing of a family member pass away, or is in an accident, some people say "we forgive the person who caused this ", and on the other hand, some people say " i hope you rot in hell for killing my child/family member " etc etc. Not everyone reacts the same as others. If ramsey refuses to see the person that broke his leg, and will never forgive him, then its HIS choice, not Shawcross, Stoke city, or the stoke city fans.

im sure you would be happy if someone broke your leg;)

and tell me, why would the manager of Football club at the time, say "oh he didnt mean it, lets play on and stick together as one"....

i would think - Stoke city fans would not say a word. THAT would be better

Don't know where the rant come from as I was merely pointing out the reason why some Stoke fans have some animosity towards Ramsay.Like I said, the booing was out of order and would be something I wouldn't do.

As a supporter of neither the Gooners or Stoke,I saw the incident as an accident in which Shawcroft seemed very remorceful afterwards and since then Wenger and Ramsay have hammered Shawcroft and Stoke at every opportunity.

The fact that you wished pain and injury on Stoke doesn't really do you any favours though.

not sure where you are getting the 'rant' from. It was not a rant, yet an explanation on what i was meaning.....again, people take things differently. And if i say to them i hope for someone to break their legs then thats the way i act towards things....again, people act and talk differently

and im sure, stoke manager would just have turned a blind eye to it also and would never want an opportunity to have a go at Ramsey if he was the one to break shawcross's leg ....sure he would have........ . Again, this is not a rant....

Nope no rant there. :o
Neither manager seems very pleasant,so I would gather Pullis would do the same.
Shawcroft might be a hard at it player, but he's no Roy Keane.

I agree that the Stoke fans were wrong in booing Ramsay... Not acceptable at all, but there are a couple of things I don't get from your arguments...

Bully wrote:and tell me, why would the manager of Football club at the time, say "oh he didnt mean it, lets play on and stick together as one"....

Do you honestly think that Shawcross deliberately tried to break his leg...? Shawcross attempted to meet Ramsay after the game to apologise for what he did not the actions of someone who meant to break a leg... IMHO.

What would you expect Arsene to say if it was an Arsenal player (actually he would most likely say he didn't see it, or the Refs have it in for his team)? Wouldn't you expect him to support his player and get the team to stick together?

Bully wrote:people take things differently. And if i say to them i hope for someone to break their legs then thats the way i act towards things

Also this, you rage against Stoke's player, the fans and their thuggish behaviour, yet you would act in the same way wanting peoples legs broken...

Do you not find that hypocritical...?

Have to say - Andy Carroll Last night, was back to the form we saw him at Newcastle. Big headaches for defences. It was fulham yes, but far out, without him, it would have been different.

Where has this form of his been the last year or so since he has been at Liverpool???

I reckon the magnitude of his signing price at Liverpool placed so much expectation on him by so many, it took til %90 of the season had passed before he started finding any confidence .. I believe the lad can play so whether it's with us or elsewhere I hope he shows what he's capable of.
