We couldn't beat them at home last time either which was a disappointing result ... Hopefully we can maintain our current form (which is better than at anytime this year imho) and come away with the points, 1-0 would be fine.

hope you do and overtake ' that ' team at the top !. Lets also hope us gunners can turn around our defeat to Man City earlier in season next weekend. That day was a hard one as a few things going on behind the scenes was affecting our play that day

WOW - BIG news here in Canada is that George Gillet has hired a team of financial consultants to assets his sport, leisure and entertainment investments, including the NHL side the Montreal Canadians, his NASCAR team and of course Liverpool FC. He's reported to have received initial advice to divest, but there is a lot of speculation.

Anyhoo, could be a dream come true for Liverpool fans. If a DIC comes in and adds some balls to the side ( ;) couldn't resist) Man U will be looking a lot harder over their shoulders going forward.

Would be awesome to get the DIC in, but Ton Hicks said as recently as the weekend, he';; be staying at Liverpool no matter what ... Whether thats legit or he's leveraging his position (ie upping his price) via knowledge of Gillette's position is anyone's guess??

Is it possible to have 15 shots on goal, 11 on target and 6 hitting the woodwork and still finish a HALF 0-0 ????????????

In true curiosity show fashion...........I'm glad you asked.......

Cause it's happened today..

Liverpool 0 - 0 Fulham

6............................YES..................6 times we've hit the woodwork in a half........

Commentators reckon Roy Hodgson is gonna sign the posts on a long term contract.

stay tuned for fulltime dribble.ImageImage :ymhug:

good win by LFC. Good to see you knocked 'that' team off the top of the table. All be it for 24 hours.

Rafa's at it again. :D

Thanks to The Daily Mail

You're running scared of us! Benitez taunts Fergie as war of words escalates

Rafa Benitez has stepped up his bitter war of words with Sir Alex Ferguson by claiming the Manchester United manager is running scared of Liverpool.

Anfield's increasingly outspoken boss broke off from trying to plot Chelsea's Champions League downfall to describe how his relationship with Ferguson broke down 'because we started winning games'.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has hit back at Sir Alex Ferguson
Reacting to Ferguson's assertion that the losers of Liverpool's quarter-final with Chelsea would be better placed to challenge United for the Barclays Premier League title, Benitez said: 'I think he will be supporting Liverpool in this one, because he knows we are the big threat to United now. He will hope tiredness might creep in if we stay in the Champions League, but I can tell him we have enough quality and options to keep going in both.

Certainly been an intriguing battle and neither Manager has been disgraced yet IMHO ... I thought Fergie's body language was a little different in the Villa game, but who knows what his thoughts are? I think Man U have too much quality to leave the door open for Liverpool who have taken good strides this year to actually look like a legitimate contender for the first time for as long as I can remember.

As a mate said to me yesterday, any club good enough to get close to Man U would want to take their chance, because you might not get the opportunity again.

Great game tonight but Chelsi destryoed Liverpool.

I think the shots count was something like Liverpool 9 Chelski 16 and the on taret count 3 to 12.

It wasn't that onesided in reality but the big difference was in the final 3rd of the pitch. When liverpool had the ball, they found it increasingly difficult to break through or find an opening in Chelskis defence, where as Chelski seemed to open up Liverpool with ease.

Personally I think it is game, set and match to the Chavs.

yes think it might be hard for LFC to come back from here. Surely rafa will now focus all his efforts and strength on the premiership.

Nice sentiment from Stephen Warnock and Blackburn with the wreath commemorating the 96 who died at Hillsborough.

Well done to the Blackburn fans who immaculately observed the minutes silence.

Oh, and Torres just showed why he is the best striker in the world after 4 mins.

Absolutely world class strike.

Tores goal:

What a player.

I was previously biased and preferred Berbatov to Torres. It's now light and day between the 2 IMO. Torres = best striker in the world at the moment.

Quality.

Interesting to read the other day that Liverpool mechandise sales of numbered apparel, show Torres ahead of Stevie G as the biggest sellers.

What a freakin superstar. and I'd imagine it doesn't matter who you follow, you can appreciate the quality of the bloke .. Kind of like Henry when he was at Arsenal, would destroy you, but you just had to admire his ability.

I'd go for a Gerrard shirt myself. Much like when Berbatov was at Spurs - no 9 shirts would have been the highest selling, but I would have had a Keano (Until he sold out  ) or King.

Agree though, you can't help but admire Torres. There doesn't seem to be an ego, arrogance or attitude either (Unlike Henry). He's just freaking good, he knows it, but also knows that everyone else knows it, so doesn't have to act like Ronaldo or Drogba etc.
