Must say setanta is the best $16/mth ive ever spent. Had it for nearly 2 years and wouldnt know what to do if i lost it. Great for social events. Got a few mates that invite themself over whenever a good game on. Especially handy this year with all the euro 2012 qualifiers

If it wasn't for the FA cup and pre-season friendlies I would've got rid of it since they no longer show Special 1 tv and Football matters.

What I would find disturbing about that list of in's and out's smithy is the turnover of big money buys. Showing that the net outlay is only £60m in five years doesn't tell the whole story IMO.

To have players you spend ££££m's on only last a year or so only to be sold on again at a small loss says something about either the culture of the club or the manager.

Success is built on stability and that says a lot about the difference between Man U and Liverpool over the last 20 years.

How players did Rafa buy and then sell on during his tenure in charge?

I wasnt happy when special 1 tv was gone but i still watch about 6 hours a day on setanta. Its my only chance to catch up with spl and aberdeen matches and i watch alot of internationals.

Big money signings I've classed as 10mill or more.

Only 1 signing from RAFA came and went quickly that cost more than 10M and that was Keane.
Mascherno and Alonso lasted at least 3 years but they wanted to leave,.
Aquilani could easily be put into the same equation as Keane but he is still our player.
It does look like RAFA is a bit of a wheeler and dealer I can see your point John.
On the other side of the coin, if RAFA chose to raise funds that way he should've been allowed to spend what he raised too.
If the yanks had been sent to court before RAFA got the sack I'd say he'd still be in charge and I'd be happy with that.
Mind you having Kenny back will get Anfield rocking and the players will be scared not to perform for him.
He AIN"T no dummy.
Mind you, the owners could put alot of pressure upon themselves in 6 months time to appoint Kenny fulltime because the fans willl almost demand it if he does well.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will checks on the fitness of strike Wayne Rooney (ankle) and goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar (flu).

Paul Scholes (groin) and John O'Shea (calf) are both out but new arrival, keeper Anders Lindegaard, is available.

Liverpool, with Kenny Dalglish in charge instead of Roy Hodgson, replace Sotirios Kyrgiakos with Daniel Agger.

Dirk Kuyt could be recalled, which would mean Joe Cole or Maxi Rodriguez missing out.

GIGGS scores 1-0

Agger foul on Berbatov

Berbatov got a slight tap to the ankle and made the most of it.
Most forwards would I guess.

If it was outside the box the player would've stayed on his feet no doubt.

From Joe, Canterbury, on text: "Personally, I have no problem with players going down under contact from a foul because referees tend not to give fouls if the player stays on his feet. However, there was minimal contact and Berbatov could have carried on easily. Dive.

1-0 half time whistle.
LFC down to 10 men.

Harsh but fairish sort of call on the penalty.....if it was Rooney....it wouldn't be a penalty because he would've stood up in the challenge..it was a very very light ankle tap.
Maybe at ANfield it would've been play on,, but Berbatoss went down and Giggs converted.

In the middle LFC had some great periods of possession and chances fell, Mereiles more advenced than Gerrard.

Gerrard got sent off for a lunge..straight RED,,,, because the UTD player was too slow to the ball, and of course the UTD players surrounded Harry Webb (sic) (google it) and a straight ******* red......BOTH PLAYERS WERE SHOWING STUDS.....IT IS THAT FKNG CLEAR IT IS CRAZY.

Carrick you are a TART..get your mum on facebook too.

The power of Old Trafford and it's surrounding players has been evident since Hughes, Pallister etc
