I think they have to have their report / reply in by 1st May.

As usual the knobs over at FA HQ will screw it up and create a bigger mess than it already is.

So we could have a farcial outcome where QPR is crowned champions but stripped later on

Correct. Seems to be taking its toll on the group with some below par performances in recent weeks.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

johntheclaret wrote:We were very lucky in the 1st half Jim. Swans hit the woodwork twice wit Jensen frozen to the spot.

Their goal was about 2 yards offside and the linesman had a shocker all day.

Clarets deserved the win though and had Swansea under the pump for most of the 2nd half. best performance in a while for Burnley, and congrats to Alexander who clocked up his 1,000th league appearance. Nearly celebrated it with a goal too after a stunning free kick and an equally stunnig save from the swans keeper.

Boro on Tuesday night, win that and we are in with a shout, but it is still in leeds own hands.

Of course 7th might be enough to get us into the play off's should QPR get a big enough deduction. My gut feeling is they will either get off scott free or a big enough deduction to put tem into the PO's

Leeds are playing terribly at the moment. Can't defend at all.
IMO Howson and Snodgrass have gone really quiet, which is why we're not doing as well.
I was also surprised that Davide Somma started on the weekend. He isn't suited to a 4-5-1 and is more of an impact player.
Grayson doesn't know his best XI IMO as he's changing the team every week. Especially in midfield with players like Kilkenny, Johnson, Howson, Livermore, Bannan to choose from and fit into 3 spots.

QPR 0-0 Derby.
Good point for Derby should see them safe. QPR almost there, just a couple of points from promotion and nervously waiting FA outcome.

Derby have scraped together a few draws and win over the past month to get us to safety....

Still a wasted season and Cloughy will thank his lucky stars if he's there next season......

We use our game in hand tonight against Boro.
A win and a few will be looking over their shoulders. A loss and it's goodnight sweetheart.

Personally we don't have the cattle and a fluked play off place would only lead to bitter disappointment

I'd be happy to be proved wrong though.

Anything can happen in playoffs.
Recall reading somewhere that over the years the team promoted via playoffs usually does better the following season than the automatically promoted sides. Dont know whether this was for teams promoted to premier league or all leagues

Big win for Burnley, thrashed boro 3-1. Scored 2 in a minute early on and led 3-0 at half. Only 2pts behind leeds now

Best 45 mins from the Clarets in 3 years. Elliotts goal to make it 2-0 was something out of the Barca scrapbook. We could/should have been 7-0 at half time such was our dominance.
Not sure what happened in the 2nd half. We lost Bikey, then Eagles then Marney to injuries one after the other and mowbray made 3 subs in one go Bringing on Lita and it seemed to give them a lift.

We had half a dozen clear cut chances to score after they pulled one back but it wasn't to be. Shame as I had a few $$$ on them to win 4-1

Nothing has changed though. Lose at Derby and it is still goodnight Vienna

Ipswich 1-5 Norwich.
Norwich has jumped up to 2nd and in the process has guaranteed a spot in playoffs.

Always great to beat them , biggest win at Portaloo Road since WW2

Now for QPR and Leeds to do the job this weekend.

Great result for forest to edge leicester 3-2. Forest have leapfrogged leeds into 6th after leeds could only manage 0-0 with reading.
