Sick of the nani incident. Yes it was handball but only AFTER he had his shirt pulled. The refs are directed to pay a penalty against ANY shirt pulling in the box. So if the ref had done his job properly we wouldnt have ended up with the fiasco that went on.
I seem to recall a game about 10 years ago in scottish league where both sides were down to 8 men. I think game was called off at 7th red card. I think hearts were involved but cant remember other side

WBA cop a dodgy red card to go with the penalty and they are screwed for the rest of the game.

If that happened at Old Trafford you would be crying, bitching and moaning about how it "only happens at Old Trafford".

The fact is, Blackpool received a MASSIVE advantage from that decision.

And your big behind a computer screen with name calling. I am not the only one that has stated that the incident as YOU call it was incorrect and the goal should not have been given. READ the previous posts and you will find there are others that also state this .

You are the one that carrys on in your words because you are so i love with your football club (no one knows who you truly support Cardiff or Manchester united ) that you cant see the true facts. If you read a previous post i stated that there has been goals given to Arsenal that i believe should not have been given like a penalty for Chamkah that was a clear dive.

2nd tackle at Blackpool was a shocker and deserved a straight red, but mypoint about the ref is that he totally ****** up on the 1st red and just left an angry bunch of baggies on the field. The 2nd challenge might not have happened had the ref got it right on the 1st.
Not making excuses, it was a terrible challenge, and I know that they are supposed to be professionals, but just because you are a professional footballer doesn't mean you don't have emotions. The sooner referees learn this the better it will be for the game.

As for what happens at OT, anyone who doesn't believe that Man U get the rub of the green must not be watching the game as 90% of the rest of us or they simply don't undrstand the rules.

Having said that, the same applies to Stamford Bridge and the Emirates

Knowing DA's record on this forum wouldnt be surprised if he has been banned for comments in the afl or sanfl threads, I guess only a mod or admin could confirm that, otherwise nfi where he is
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

I have never agreed that Liverpool should be part of the "Big 4" list. They haven't done enough and been a consistant top 4 team to warrant it

It has nothing to do with hating a team or how they are struggling atm. I believe it has to do with consistancey. They havent won the premier league since 1988 i think? They havent finished in the top 4 regularly enough. They had to get an handout to defend thier champions league crown because they werent good enough to make the top 4 the year after.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd have been fair more consistant

I dont hate them, but agree, to a point, they are considered a top 4 side. but that has as much to do with the lack of contenders more than Liverpool's ability. Not too many years ago the big four were Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs. Chelsea have emerged, and Spurs dropped away.

I guess it might have been expected that City would replace Liverpool in the "big four"but if Spurs can maintain some form, maybe they can regain the position they held a few years ago ?

Well who would be the 4 then, there is no way Man City or Tottenham have performed better and more consistent than Liverpool since the premier league inception, the only year any of those teams have finished higher than Liverpool was last season, maybe a Big 3 would be a better term as only 3 of the Big 4 have ever won the premiership and the only other club to win Blackburn wouldn't warrant that status. The only others to be considered IMO would be Everton and Villa.

Liverpool vs Everton, Man C, Tottenham, Villa since premier league inception

Top 4 finishes 12 vs 4
Community Shields 2 vs 1
Carling Cups 3 vs 2
FA Cups 2 vs 1
UEFA Cups 1 vs 0
Champions League 1 vs 0

I think the facts speak for itself ;)

Agreed man city or spurs would need a couple of titles before even being considered big 4. Still think liverpool will finish this season higher than spurs or city

I must admit, I've always wondered why people include Community Shields in their clubs lists of achievements, they are absolutely meaningless IMHO.

Liverpool, behind Man U and Arsenal were the big 3 for most of the EPL in my opinion .. Their record domestically and throughout Europe made that a fait accompli.

Once it became the Big 4 to include Chelsea, I think Liverpool still well and truly justified their position, but obviously when it came to football in England they fell well behind the other 3 in recent years .. However, they still surpassed 2 of them in Europe.

I think the notion of a "Big 3" (or 4 or 5 or 6) takes in a lot more than current results ... Memberships, numbers of supporters, attendances, standing in the history of your country's game etc, etc.

Liverpool have fallen massively from their glory days, but every team that dominates a period eventually slides, same with all sports/codes etc.
