With the prawn eaters winning the title, whilst disappointing, I think LFC have had a pretty good year.
Too many draws at home and a loss to boro were costly.
With Rafa now taking control of transfers, he has noone to blame now, so hopefully targets will be signed a lot quicker than in previous years.
Things went pear shaped after Rafa's rant about Fergie that everyone wanted to say but didn't have the aggots to do, but we recovered well to really push Man U hard for the title over the past 3 months.
Comparing budgets and I think we had a great season and have a great manager.
Next season I reckon we'll win the title.
I reckon the squad has finally cracked rafa's code the past 3-4 months and we'll go onto better things.
2 games to go and I'm already starting to dread the off season. :(

Good 2-0 win overnight over West Brom. 2nd is the best place we've been in the EPL for a while, usually it's 4th or 5th. Hope that we have a better season starting in about 2 and a half to 3 months.

The loss to Boro really did it. That and that cheating sack of shit Webb gifting Utd a win they didn;t deserve. ****.

Agreed. IMO, Tevez + a winger or 2 and perhaps a backup defender or 2 and LFC will be an even better shout than this term.

Like many things, I won't believe it until I see it (the Reds winning the title) .. That said, I really think we made genuine strides this year, and it's been our best season in the premiership for yonks.

Arsenal are a team that I'd expect to hit back with quite a bit of force next season.

Only if Arsenal sign a few more players though, they still lack a bit of toughness. They look wonderful when things are going their way but under pressure they crumble (kinda like the Crows in many respects).

Liverpool will be up there again especially after signing another gun or two, should be an interesting race to 19. Not going to worry about that yet, just glad the stress of getting chased by Liverpool is over. Losing the title to Chelsea was pretty ordinary a few years back but if Liverpool pipped us to it I don't know what I'd do.

No, don't have Foxtel, so watching EPL is a little hard at the moment.

I did see it, and I should thank him really as I had Stevie G as my captain this gameweek! Has put me in an (almost?) unassailable position heading into the final gameweek. Very big fan of Martis' work!!! =D>

I only hope so. IF we can hold the current squad with a decent centre back and striker to come in we will be a force. As usual the talk has already started, adebayor wants out, rumours still going round the fabregas is on his way. FFS if we are going to challenge for the title next season we need to hold the current squad. Yes Thomas rosicky and Eduardo will return for extra spice but continual injuries to them is not doing us any better. We seem to be the team year in and year out that have most or more injuries then most other teams. Even Fergie said that before the game at OT on sunday ' Arsenal have had serious injuries to their squad'. Arsene needs to put his foot down or what ever he does and keep the current players so as they can play week in week out alongside of each other and become a champion team, not a team of champions.

How are LFC going to win the title next year

1) Keep Torres fit and keep him playing
2) Sign Tevez. Pool are a striker short of a full team
3) Get a right winger who can cross a ball
4) Short up the back four. They are at least 2 defenders short.

5) Lock Utd in thier dressing room ;)

Cost: Around £50m - £60m. the big question is how on earth are they going to raise that sort of coin?

Hahaha. I took lamingtongs to work one day in Slough and the Brits loved em. Didn;t have a clue what they were, but they wolfed them.

Good thinking.

(But hands off Lennon, although the saving grace is that Lennon can;t cross the ball, so phew)

Just to go back to the weekend's game v WBA, did anyone else see the bust up between Carra and Arbeloa? Not quite Dyer v Bowyer a couple of years back, but hell, if Alonso didn't come in when he did, Carra had a look in his eye like he was capable of anything! The commentator was saying something about Rafa being happy that they care about not conceding when the title and that match was effectively over, but it still doesn't look good. Obviously not best friends forever those two!

Was it just me or did Xabi appear to be more aggressive toward toward Carra than Arby? I love Cara's bleed-Red attitude, but I reckon top level sport needs a bit more than that these days (doesn't change the fact he's a champion)

Not sure if you guys have read his book (I haven't), but there have been a lot of slabs quoted in various football sources which to me sound like Carra is a complete prick of a bloke and one you wouldn't want to be mates with. There's one where he bangs on about wanting to smash Lucas Niell for whatever reason.

His reaction on the weekend was ridiculous. Arbeloa's effort wasn't diabolical by any means ad IMO, Carra totally overreacted.
