I thought Arsenal were the better team. Had way more possession and just lacked that Drogba killer punch. It's games like this when it shows how much they miss RVP.

Drogba has now scored 12 goals in 12 games against Arsenal.
Arshavin just isn't good enough imo, and until Arsene invests in an out and out centre forward with some muscle Arsenal are always going to be bridesmaids.

yes but being the better team and then not winning the game means nothing as you know.

But chelsea still have to goto man utd, liverpool and tottenham so all hope is not lost. Man utd still have a game against man city away, and chelsea at old trafford and a derby against pool so can still be hope. we have tough games but these games that i have just said can go either way

He had one, no two, but sold both of them.

One he thought was past it, but has gone on to bigger things with Barca.
The other he thought wasn't good enough and sold to the first offer.

i want to know whom he means by both???

if he means the player that went to barca well that would be theirry henry??? class of a player and wether or not he has improved or still at his best then so what?? he is fantastic but wanted to move to barca?? but yes who is the other? Viera? another class player that always destroyed tottenham when we played them??

i think you have had bridesmaid managers more so players?? but again you still have not answered a previous post of mine DA?? you keep saying tottenham will beat arsenal at the lane in april stating they are up or ready for this game? my point is what difference is this to the past 10 years that you have not beaten us in the EPL?? those games didnt matter? they didnt want to win those??

Of course I meant Adebaywhore and Henry. Who else has Arsenal had up front that fits JTC's description? Anelka - but he was years back.

Bully, I haven't said Spurs will definitely beat Arseanal at the Lane in April. I said we'd be up for it for sure. We've been up for it for the last 10 years, but haven't had the cattle and Arsenal has dominated us.

But in the earlier post you're refering to, in response to me posting Arsenal's run home, you stated "what's so difficult about that" as if to say all your remaining games will be won easily, including v Spurs at the Lane. Have a look what's happened in Arsenal's 2 games since you made that post....

look at the results in the games we have lost

Man utd at old trafford- never an easy game, we were the better team and lost thanks to a brain explosion by diaby
Man city at eastlands - these days it is like a man utd game up there very hard
Sunderland at stadium of light - everyone has a slip up
Man utd at home - just dominated us
chelsea at home - dominated us
chelsea away - again the better side

although it looks bad i hate loosing yes but 4 games out of the six we have lost are from the top 2 teams, so it is all not that bad. All teams slip up like us against sunderland. Man utd vs burnley , and this morning chelsea to everton so the monkey is not on our back. I love beating our rivals but not winning against these sides is not an embarrassment. may look bad at the time but not alot if any teams can walk away year in year out and say they did the double on man utd and chelsea.

See Bully - I told you I wasn't making this up:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5935883,00.html

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has denied suggestions he has agreed to join Barcelona next season.

Reports emanating from Spain have claimed that Emirates skipper Fabregas has reached a verbal agreement to join the Catalan giants in the summer.

Barcelona moved quickly to rubbish the rumours and now the midfielder has put the record straight on the speculation, insisting he is totally committed to the Gunners.

"They have denied it, I have denied it. I just want to focus on Arsenal," Fabregas told Sky Sports.

"I think Arsenal Football Club is above everything, every single player in its history and their fans, and the club, and myself - I think we deserve a little bit more respect."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also quashed talk that the Spain international was on his way to Camp Nou.

"Nothing plus nothing is nothing," said Wenger.

Talk
However, Fabregas' father has claimed his son would be open to holding talks with Barca at the end of the season

Fabregas Snr believes his son would consider any offer the Spanish giants made him but insisted he would not think about moving on while he is fighting for the title with Arsenal.

"If something has to happen - we will see at the end of the season. We would talk," Fabregas Snr told Radio Kanal.

"But to be talking about these at the middle of the season - I understand Arsenal being angry.

"If a club is interested in a player, then it should go to the other club and try to negotiate. This is the way to function always.

"If this thing has to happen, it has to be this way: Barca going to talk to Arsenal. That goes the same with Cesc and for the rest of the players."

AND:

Manuel Almunia says Cesc Fabregas is crucial to Arsenal's quest for silverware amid rumours he may leave for Barcelona.

The Gunners shot-stopper also admits he is surprised to hear members of high-standing at Barca discussing a possible move for the young captain at this stage in the season.

Barcelona presidential hopefuls have made clear their interest in Fabregas, who joined Arsenal as a trainee in July 2003.

Although Almunia admits it would be difficult for his fellow countryman to snub a return to his boyhood club, he believes that such a decision would be incredibly hard for him to make.

Interest
"The presidents and people at clubs talk too much," said Almunia. "They are in the press much more than they should be.

"In England, I have never seen the directors in the press and so it is strange for me."

He added: "Nobody has any doubt that Cesc gives everything to the game.

"He makes tackles and fights, this is the only thing that people can expect from him."

Almunia believes Fabregas has become an icon at the North London club and a rising star under Arsene Wenger's influence.

"For the supporters, Cesc is a symbol of the club," he said. "For the people, he is the best.

"I have no doubts that he loves the club and Arsenal in general. If he has to go, and I don't know anything, he will be very sad."

But then you have:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... rs&cc=3436

Arsenal captain Cesc Fàbregas has denied rumours that he has agreed a deal to join Spanish champions Barcelona next season.

Reports in Spain claimed Fàbregas had struck a verbal agreement to sign a five-year contract at the Camp Nou, but both Barcelona and the player refute such an accord exists.

"They have denied it, I have denied it. I just want to focus on Arsenal," Fàbregas told Sky Sports. "I think Arsenal Football Club is above everything, every single player in its history and their fans, and the club, and myself - I think we deserve a little bit more respect."

Fàbregas left Barcelona's youth academy to join Arsenal in 2003 and in a recent interview the Spain international said he would love to return the club one day.

The feverish media speculation surrounding a proposed swoop for Fabregas also prompted Barcelona to release a statement insisting no secret deal had been agreed with the midfielder.

"Given the exceptional repercussions created by the stories that have appeared in different media with respect to an agreement with Cesc Fàbregas, Barca flatly deny there have been any negotiations or agreements with the player," the statement read.

"In accordance with FIFA regulations, Barcelona's contract policy has always made it a priority to negotiate with the club of origin before making any agreement with the player."

Following the two denials Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also dismissed the transfer talk and said: "Nothing plus nothing is nothing."

i never said you were making it up, i was saying that he wont leave. If he does im sure wenger will ask for an outrages fee like C Ronaldos. These are rumours like every transfer. If fabs wants to leave then so be it, but its not up to me its up the Arsenal football club to keep him.
