Most definately not but the welsh do have a massive inferiority complex against their big brothers :D
FWIW Cardiff have a good squad and with a couple of additions could stay up but swansea on the other hand are quite ordinary and could see them cop some massive beltings

Cardiff are financially screwed so they are deperate for promotion and the sky saviours.

I tend to agree somewhat Jim. why are the Welsh competing in an English league anyway?
Just on that note, all disciplinary action taken against welsh clubs or their players is dealt with bt the welsh FA and not the English. I have seen several times where a Cardiff red card has been upheld by the English FA but over turned by the Welsh and the player has got away with it.

there is something definitely wrong with that system

How about this for a scoreline..

Cardiff 0 Middlesbrough 3 at HT..

Looks like Norwich will have the chance to wrap up promotion to the EPL for next season :D
Hope we get to see Cardiff choke in the playoffs again.

Yessssssss Norwich into the premier league. We are UP UP UP

Up at 4 am found a live stream , prayed for a goal and got it.

Spent last half hour biting the nails

What a relief

Fantastic effort all round by the team and management.

No superstars but 100% team.

And to think 1 and a half years ago we open up in League 1 with a 1-7 home loss.

FANTASTIC EFFORT FROM THE TEAM

LAMBERT YOU ARE A CITY LEGEND.

Cardiff 0-3 Middlesbrough
Portsmouth 0-1 Norwich
Norwich promoted. Cardiff and Swansea to fight for 3rd.
Norwich will be confirmed as champions next week as i have no doubt QPR will cop the full brunt and be deducted 15pts.

Firstly I am not really surprised we lost last night, we always managed to find a new way to **** up promotion. This time it was conceding 3 goals inside the first 21 minutes at home.

Cardiff aren't exactly new to the English league mate, they have been around for a good 100 years or so and have had more success than even some of the teams in the EPL this season. They are too big a club to play in a crappy Welsh league. Over here we have NZ clubs in the Aussie football and basketball leagues (the NZ team won the basketball championship) and nobody seems to complain.

It is funny to see the whinging Poms at their whinging best though. ;)

Got no problem with them if they abide by the english FA rules. JTC is correct, all disciplinary action is still handled by the welsh FA and the system is a joke. They need to sort out whos comp they want to be in.

How good is the Championship going to be next season? :D

Possibly the three W's coming down from the EPL
Southampton and Brighton?! coming up.
Middlesbrough are hitting some late form and will go well next season.
Three of the four sides in the playoffs will still be there.
Leeds, Ipswich, Hull, Derby etc..

Just wish Fox would show more games..

Been chatting to a Rangers mate in the UK and he reckons the feeling around the club is that they will cop 15pt deduction. The FA want to appear to send a strong message whilst not copping the flak for rangers missing promotion. No coincidence that a 15 pt deduction would see them just inside the playoff spots. He reckons most fans are resigned to the fact they will be going via playoffs

Fantastic achievement by Norwich winning back-to-back promotions. Paul Lambert has done a great job with them.
They seem to be a really good team, with no real superstars. The additions of decent loan signings in Lansbury and Pacheco were rather handy too.

What was significant with the loanee's were they were brought in for depth , rather than as starters to win the match.

Other Significance this year was other than Lansbury , All players were Norwich players for the entire season. Far cry from the days under Roeder when we had more loanees on the books than we could play.

People probably don't understand how much of a magnificent effort this was by Lambert , successive promotions with out spending any significant coin compared to our rivals.

Club was administration bound in 2009 , how things can change in a year and a half.

Next Promotion will be europe 2012/2013

I agree to some extent, but having a year up in the Premiership and then be relegated straight away can actually save a club in the long run. It gives the club an opportunity to build on the foundations of a visit, and use the huges wads of cash from the Premiership and parachute payments to have another crack from a solidified position. Of course no one wants to get relegated, but if done properly it can actually setup the club for the long run...

Or you survive the first year, go absolutely freaking stupid and things fall apart the second year, get relegated and then you are on the fast track to oblivion...

Bradford City say hi from the pits of hell...
