Yeah 93/94. The second season of EPL. They were probably worst team ever in EPL, for memory they only won about 5 or 6 games and conceded about 100 goals.
I remember in the late 80's they won the div 2 playoffs and were meant to go into the old div 1 but were denied entry, cant remember why.
But yes they were relegated to league 2 last week

I think Derby own that record Jim, 5 or 6 games is always better then 1 or 2 wins with 11 points for the year

Bradford spent two seasons in the Premier league, they beat Liverpool on the last day of the season in their first season to stay in the top flight... A header from a corner, scored by David Weatherall... I'm surprised you didn't hear me when that went in.

Our second season, from wikipedia...

"A terrible start to the season saw inexperienced young manager Chris Hutchings dismissed after 12 games at the helm. In came Scotsman Jim Jefferies as his successor, but Jefferies could do little to alter Bradford's dismal fortunes and they went down in bottom place with just five Premiership wins all season - equalling Swindon's record low of Premiership wins which had been set seven years earlier."

That was from the 2000-2001 Premier League summary... So we held the record with Swindon, but thankfully have passed that baton on...

...and it's been downhill ever since...

Swindon were actually relegated two divisions after the directors were caught fiddling the books and making paperbag payments.
They went from Div 1 to Div 3 in one go and never recovered.

Jase is spot on with his assessment. Getting relegated from the EPL after one year isn't a bad thing providing you don't go mad in that 1st year and blow all the cash and you use the the parachute payments to build a stronger squad.

WBA have been great exponents of this for years. Unfortunately BURNLEY only got it half right

The spineless FA have delayed the QPR decision until next week now. Absolute chaos, the playoffs start next weekbut no one knows who will be playing in them. Makes it hard for supporters to organise tickets and teams to prepare for matches. Absolute farce.

Maybe it's a slight hint Jim that the penalty wont be significant enough that they will be participating in the playoffs?

QPR are provisional Champions until this mess is sorted, Would be very unsettling if your team was 7th as they will step up to the plate. IIRC last year's 6th placed championship side (Blackpool) got the chocolates last season....

EDIT

QPR are Champions!

Once again the FA have shown their true colours with this spineless decision. Weak as piss, they took the soft option.
Oh well hope they enjoy their one season in the EPL

Maybe it was because Cardiff were already assured of a P/O spot but they weren't too hot today
Clarets really unlucky and that sheep snagging bastard Bellamy pops up and scores in the last minute to earn them a draw.

Bellamy squealed all day long which is the norm for so called stars who play in the lower leagues. I began to wonder who was in charge, the ref or bellendamy.

Clarets not good enough and need to make some serious changes if they want to compete for the bigger prizes next season.

Cardiff, should they make it to the EPL will be back down next year although I'm not sure they will get over Reading yet

QPR decision is an absolute joke. How can the FA punish any other club for breaking the rules. Open season now
