Might be early in the season but dont think its going to be the 3 horse race most people think. United have been very ordinary but finding ways to win, still a long way off hitting our straps. Have watched Shiteh a couple of times and they look average and far from the force they were last year, for all their squillions spent they offered nothing in the first half last night. Even the Chavs looked average against Stoke, at home I thought they would dismantle them.
Maybe the title race will come down to 5 or 6 this year with Arsenal and Everton showing good early form

the look on the man shitty supporters faces when we scored, and sky did a slow mo of the lads running off to celebrate with the arsenal supporters was PRICELESS!!!! :D

JT to play against arsenal tonight. Sorry, but he will cop it. If i was him, i would have taken personal leave until the 14 days is up when his ban starts.

For any professional sportsman to avoid playing because of crowd taunts (which lets face it happens every week) would just be the softest cop out of all time .. I don't like JT but one thing he isn't is soft.

I don't think any of us know the reason why players are left out .. If it were the case for Rooney, then same applies, soft.

im sure the comments before that game on the preview show from mr manure fergie himself was - I left the lad out , as he has had some personal issues, and alot of media attention in the past week, and the lad doesnt need the pressure from the everton fans whilst he is trying to move on from that situation??? (something along the lines of that from memory)

i never know what to believe from any manager at times, but yes, i do agree in a way, he JT would get more so if he stayed out yes i agree now

Why wouldn't he, he gets it all the time and it seems to spur him on.

I have been noticing in recent weeks, more so then normal, a lot of players diving.

Last night in the Arsenal vs Chelsea match, it was noticed more. One from Luiz, and one from Jenkinson.

Poor form from both sides, and all teams. As we saw in last weeks game between LFC and Man u with their penalty. I am man enough to admit when a penalty/free kick is not deserved due to diving for my team, like the jenkinson free kick, and its a shame that players have to resort to this in the EPL.

The Refs need to accept a fair portion of the blame IMHO

1. They don't give enough cards for simulation
2. They usually don't award Free Kick's/Penalty's when contact is made, unless the player goes to ground

Diving and falling from contact and down by a foul are different things

Foul - defender mistake - punish player
Dive - attacker cheating - punish player
Contact/fall - good challenge/ player falling from momentum/ player trip himself up - play on

So yeah the first two should be called, people often mistake the last one as one of the first two but eg for 1 bit of the last one see torres last night.

I would be happy to see some kind of review system in place where by each game is reviewed the day after being played to see if there is any dives the referees missed.

If a player is to be seen 'diving' where they fall to the ground from ZERO contact (not minimal or minor absolutly zero contact) they then have a yellow card automatically added to their season total.

This only applies if the ref doesnt give the player a card from incident at the time.

While its not a huge punishment it will be a small step in the right direction. Especially if a player reaches his yellow card suspension from diving.

lol, fergie has come out complaining about the ref during the OT game saying that they (man utd) are never given any time to try and win the game in extra time. And also other managers shouldnt be on the pitch pointing at their watches and asking the ref to stop the game when the extra time is up......

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA  =))

that has brightened up my morning well and truly....

going to be some decent games on, and interesting results this week.

When was the last time man utd had lost 3 games in the first 7 games of the season (if they lose this weekend) as an example.
We need as a must to win at the hammers, to keep pace with chelski, if we lose, we will be 10 points behind, considering they have norwich at home and you would think thats a shoe in for them. WBA and everton will fall away in the next few weeks. Everton look the goods, but have one really had one test from a decent side of man utd, and being the first game of the season then its anyones game then (sorry cossi) IMO

Liverpool need to win, to get out of the bottom half of the table.
Villa looking to be stablising and may take something from tottingham.
