United thrashed the Toon 3-0, led 2-0 after 15 minutes and then the defense actually stood up for once. Good to see our goals come from some differant players aswell.
Good game between Soton and Fulham with Fulham going 2-1 up with a few minutes left before Soton grabbed a deserved late equaliser. Saw only highlights of the other 2 games, Spurs looked good in patches and could have won by 8, Villa are a rabble ATM and will be lucky to stay up this season. Liverpool hit the woodwork 3 times in their 0-0 draw with Stoke which surely must keep the pressure on Rodgers

Not only did the defenders stop goals, they scored twice!

Decent goal by Cleverly too... not sure if he meant that however.

maybe a good thing now that we let RVP go, as its more then one player scoring for us....

Twice as many goals as at the same time last season (plus twice as many points)

just watched the highlight show, and seeing the toon vs man utd game, and seeing yet again, a perfect example of the need for goal line technology. Yes, by the looks, the whole of the ball was not over the line.

And how funny is this - Fergies comments (his words) - the whole of the ball was not over the line, but I would be dissapointed if we werent given that if it was us..........

one minute you are saying it is not a goal, but if it was your team, and it was not given, you would be dissapointed if it was not given??

To me, that means he is saying its a goal if it was man utd scoring in that situation, and not a goal for newcastle??/ hmmmmm

RVP has been cited for an elbow to Cabaye, doesnt look good. Deserves 3-4 match ban. No need to do it, especially when you are 3-0 up with a few minutes remaining :(

Pretty ordinary by Bale despite the fact he was trying to avoid the tackle.

Suarez's wasn't a great effort either.

Image

Until the various FAs grow some balls and hand out suspensions for diving nothing will change. The ref didn't even give a yellow for Suarez, don't think Bale got one either?

Actually, it looked a bit iffy at the time, but I reckon contact was made so don't have a problem with that one.

There was definitely contact, probably not enough to make Valencia go down like he did but it was more of an exaggeration, not a dive. I can see why the ref gave it as it looks more of a penalty from his angle than what we got to see on a number of replays. I won't deny it was soft.

Anyway if a United player took a dive and got suspended for it I wouldn't have a problem as it needs to be eradicated from the game.

Suarez has taken over Ronaldo's mantle as the worst diver in the EPL.
They have technology so use it. The FA should sit down and watch replays of every game, dish out 2 matches for first offence and increase the penalty each time.
Id bet within a month, diving would cease

A dark day for Scottish Football losing to Wales but Scotland were robbed. Perfectly legit 2nd goal disallowed would have had them 2-0 up and and cruising then Bale "cons" the ref with that theatrical trip over his own feet!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.
