His uncle or someone closely related is an Everton fan and dressed Steve gerrard up in an Everton kit when he was very young.
It hit the media a couple of years ago.
Can guarantee you he's always been a Liverpool supporter.

If you read his book you’ll see that his uncle won a prize of a full kit and a photo beside the cups, and took Stevie along. His father went mental over it at the time apparently.

The photo and the quote that came with it Bulldog.
Would be mid 80's cause that was the last time they did anything decent.

I don't think you can officially put that into a contract, it is only for loan deals. Sometimes it is a Gentleman's agreement that the player won't play against their old club but it sounds like Torres can't wait to score against Liverpool.

Spot on Marty.
It's illegal to put that in writing on a sale, but for loan moves it's ok.
We got 2 gun under 23 players for one sooky injury prone 26 year old ;) so only time will tell but I think both clubs will be happy with the outcome of the transfer.

Chelsea fans thought they were being clever and rubbing it in when copying a banner of former Liverpool player Torres.

Well its backfired bigtime as the artwork under El Nino is actually a tribute to Shankly and is used on the Shankly gates.
So thanks to Chelsea fans for honouring Bill Shankly.
Plastic fans waving their plastic flags !

A Shankly interview on all things Liverpool.
Interestingly he said it was harder or more important to win the FA Cup than Europe.
Maybe back then when it was a sport and not driven by TV rights.
