Also here is Palacios' tackle. Tell me he shouldn't have been shown a straight red. That could have changed the game well before Spurs even got going.

Disgusting tackle and action should be taken against him.

Yesthis was a bad tackle, but at the same time no contact was made was it? So should we be showing red cards
for bad tackles when no contact is made?
After the Tottenham Man U game. I watched the Roma vs Fiorentina pretty sure and to my surprise
the game was much more physical and much better refereed! Couple of challenges which would of been easily yellows
in the premier league were just accepted as normal fouls and little complaint by the players was refreshing to watch!!!

Oooh, yep thats ugly and a straight Red IMHO .. It's a degree of luck that contact wasn't made and it has the potential of ending a players career (extreme, but it's happened before).

could be a very tricky gaame for fergie and his team at the riverside this weekend. Might put some money on middles getting a result. Just have the feeling that ManUre will struggle against them there. And being a great year for the title race would love it to come down to the last game of the season.

Agreed C_P. disgraceful tackle and should be a straight red, contact or not. the intent was there and as much as I don't like Ronaldo as a person, that could have done some serious harm and needs to be stopped.

Correct. Disgraceful attempt to tackle. Straight Red Card.

Yep and that is my argument against those complaining about the United penalty turning the game. If that had been a red card, would Spurs have been 2-0 up at the break?

Too many tackles like that these days, the FA should take action but probably won't.

I see the Ronaldo to Real rumours still wont go away. Yesterday running that Man Utd have tabled a bid for Ribery as his replacement. I doubt that is really the case and wouldnt surprise me if it were the london papers trying to put Utd off before their clash with Arsenal.

However if Ronaldo does this summer indicate that he wants off to Real then i think Utd should sell him (at a record fee). He is a fantastic player (arguably best in the world) but no point holding him against his will. Hopefully by that time he would have delivered 3 consecutive premier league titles & 2 Champions League cups. We could then use the money to get Ribery and either another world class left winger or midfielder.

Of course if he states that he wants to stay then re-sign him & watch more trophies roll in..!!

Gotta love the prawn eaters at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo, one of the biggest divers in the game has gone down too easily a couple of times today, and Arshavin gets yellowed for a foul on Carrick when there was clearly no contact.
Old Trafford response " same old Arsenal, always cheating"

LOL..........The UK's version of a crows crowd.
