  WOW, really? Got a source for that one Bully?

That must be the shortest stint as manager in the history of the game. He must have been at the Black Cats for about 6 days.

Think he was talking about the move earlier in the week when bruce left wigan and went to sunderland
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

By all accounts, Hull have agreed a GBP6m fee to bring Frazier Campbell back to the KC. I've put it in the rumor forum because neither club has confirmed the transfer.

Wigan have also reportedly received bids in excess of GBP16m for Antonio Valencia from Manure and Real Madrid.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. Van Nistelrooy left Old Trafford in 2006 to join Real Madrid after a falling-out with Sir Alex Ferguson, and he has been a prolific scorer in La Liga. However, having missed much of this season through injury, he has been told by president Florentino Perez that he is surplus to requirements. The 32-year-old has just one year left on his contract and would be available for just 1.25m, making him an ideal target for Harry Redknapp. The Spurs boss has also been linked with a move to take Paul Robinson back to White Hart Lane from Blackburn Rovers.

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o would not reject the opportunity to move to the Premier League this summer, according to his agent. Eto'o has been strongly linked with a transfer to Manchester City, despite the Catalan club winning the Champions League last month. His agent, Jose Maria Mesalles revealed that the Cameroon striker would welcome the challenge of a new league. However, he did state that: "I can tell you for sure that there has not been any offer from any club. Honestly, I would say that no player in the world would turn down the chance to play Premier League football."

French winger Franck Ribery has ruled out a move to the Premier League, saying that the English climate is not to his liking. Ribery, currently at Bayern Munich, is expected to leave the Bundesliga this summer. However, he would prefer a proposed move to Real Madrid, rather than either Manchester United or Chelsea. When asked which club he would like to join, he replied: "Honestly, I do not know, but it is a question I am asking myself frequently at this time. I will see how the situation evolves. It is not easy. I am happy at Bayern." He ruled out a move to England: "Because they have the same weather as in Germany."

Italian champions Internazionale are believed to have targeted Arsenal striker Robin van Persie as their major signing this summer. Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho could be set to lose Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and wants to remould his team around van Persie. The Dutch international has been a key figure for Arsenal in recent years, but has frequently been linked with a move away from the Emirates. He has two years left on his contract, but Arsenal want to tie him down to a longer-term deal, and if negotiations fail, it could see them forced to accept an offer now, rather than accept less money next summer. Inter would be willing to pay around 25m it is reported.

Newcastle United striker Michael Owen looks set to be the subject of a transfer scramble this summer, with Aston Villa and Roma both linked with him. Martin O'Neill is keen to sign the former England striker, despite his poor form for the Magpies last season. However, Villa's finances mean that he would need to take a pay-cut of around 70,000 a week from what he earns currently at St James' Park. Italian giants Roma are also believed to be interested in signing him, and while they would be able to afford more wages than Villa, Owen would still take a cut in pay.

If we pull in Ruud for 1.25, I'll wear a dress for the end of the year. I'll look like a dickhead, but I'll be pretty damn happy regardless! He's qual.

The only way Owen will remain on current wages is if he plays in the Championship next year and fleeces the Geordies.

He'll be taking a paycut wherever else he goes.

Liverpool got 8mill for a player worth 20mill.
He continuously said he was going to sign a new contract with Liverpool, the club trusted his word, his contract wound down to a situation where they had to accept a crap offer or lose him for nothing.
Fans don't like players like that, just ask spurs fans what they think of Sol Campbell.

I'm glad his career has gone downhill since leaving Liverpool.

Actually, I hope Steve McManaman moves into their house too.

LEave Liverpool at your peril cause you return injury prone playing with a club like Newcastle or Man City.

so thats different from which other club?. All clubs have players who have there words trusted by the club and they disappear at the fall of a hat when the timing is right or the money is right. I can name quite a few players at Arsenal that have done that.

Definitely no different to other clubs, but I'll bet those club's supporters didn't just wish the player well - They would have shown the same disdain Smithy's show toward Owen

it was one of the darkest days for me when Thierry left for Barca, all the talk the years before and during the 06 champions league final loss to them he was talking about how barca players did nothing during the game and who the hell are they etc, then he goes there. I hate him for leaving but yeah dont hate the guy as he was an inspiration to Arsenal for a long time.

Dzeko linked to Milan move

http://www.goal.com/en/news/10/italy/20 ... eko-report

With Kaka almost certain to complete his move to Real Madrid tonight, Milan are already moving to replace the Brazilian, as Sky Italia claims that a deal to sign Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko is "very close" to being formalised.

The Bosnian had a sensational 2008/09 campaign, scoring 32 goals in all competitions, and leading Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title.

The 23-year-old has since been linked to a host of top clubs, and his agent Irfan Redzepagic admitted earlier today that his client would be tempted by a move to either Milan or Arsenal.

However, it seems as if the Rossoneri may have won the race to sign the hitman. Sky Italia claims that Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani and director Ariedo Braida met with the player's father in Sarajevo on Saturday to broker the move.

There is no official word on the topic as of yet, but if confirmed, this transfer would surely help appease Milan fans angry over the certain sale of Kaka to Real Madrid.

Anthony Sormani, Goal.com

Makes things interesting. Including Milan, there are now 4 clubs linked to the striker; Chelsea, Arsenal, AC Milan, and Manchester City. Chelsea and Milan are the front runners.
