Agreed, I have to admit I wasn't to pleased when we first signed Carlo as manager but he is doing well so far and has seemed to bring to some stabilty to the team, I havent seen us look this dominate since Jose was around, (sorry bout this JTC) was good to put Burnley back in there place of corse the bigger challenges will come when we face the other teams form the big 4 and Tottenham but you can only play the teams ur put up against. Btw who said Drogba and Anelka cant paly together??

Don't be sorry mate. Apart from a 15 minuite spell either side from the break Chelsea were pretty average. they put some pressure on in the 1st half and Jensen pulled of some decent saves.

Burnley had a great chance to go one up with Patto missing with the goal gaping, and as per usual Chelsea are allowed to play until they score geting an offiside goal nearly 3 mins into added time. not bad when the ref signalled 2 minutes, but there you go.

There is no foul throw rule in the professional ranks, its assumed that because they are pro's they dont make foul throws. If you dont believe me you may check it up.

Are you sure about that ID. I haven't checked it out but i am pretty sure I have seen throw ins reversed.

Anyway, here is a novel way for Chavs to beat the transfer ban. just agree to buy the player in 2011 and pay thier wages until then. not sure what kind of reaction they will get from FIFA et all.

Here's the story thanks to the daily mail

Chelsea sign keeper despite transfer ban: Croatian star to be paid by Blues until move in 2011

Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Chelsea have reached an agreement with Croatian club Inter Zapresic for young goalkeeper Matej Delac to join them in 2011.
Delac will remain with the Croatian club for the next two years, during which period Chelsea will pay his wages.

A clever way round the ban as I suspect that in the context of signing players, that means taking on thier registration. This deal appears to not break that rule.

look the law is there its just

Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino
From Law 15

At the moment of delivering the ball, the thrower:
faces the field of play;
has part of each foot either on the touch line or on the ground outside the touch line
uses both hands
delivers the ball from behind and over his head

Any of these things not done properly, it's a foul throw.

The reason you rarely see this called is that most referees at higher levels of play view infringements of Law 15 as "trifling" and allow the game to proceed

basicly as long its a 2 hand throw and behind the line then it wont get called

Chelsea 3 Tottenham Hotspur 0

Chelsea returned to the top of the Premier League today by beating Tottenham Hotspur and, in so doing, claimed a club record 11th straight victory, at Stamford Bridge.

Earlier in the day Manchester United had moved into first spot with a dramatic 4-3 win over rivals Manchester City. But after Ashley Cole had given Chelsea an early advantage, second half goals from Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba confirmed the victory.

Spurs were left to rue wasted first half opportunities, with Petr Cech saving from Jermain Defoe and Tom Huddlestone while the recalled Jermaine Jenas also went close.

Chelsea’s Jose Bosingwa struck the angle of right post and cross bar, from 20 yards, Frank Lampard headed wide and Nicolas Anelka found the side netting. And the home side were unfortunate not to win a penalty when Spurs defender Vedran Corluka shoved Ballack.

But, seconds later, Drogba crossed from the right and Cole, slipping inside Corluka, stooped to head the 32nd minute opener.

Before the interval Lampard struck a low free kick narrowly wide and, soon after the restart the England midfielder was allowed to offer another chance when Ledley King pulled up unchallenged.

The Spurs defender appeared to feel his knee and, with only three minutes of the half played, was replaced by Alan Hutton.

In the 55th minute, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp was furious when referee Howard Webb refused to award a penalty when Robbie Keane fell under the weight of a challenge from Ricardo Carvalho.

And Spurs’ woe increased three minutes later when sloppy defending handed Chelsea a second goal. Nicolas Anelka crossed from the right, Drogba’s volley was only parried by former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, and Lampard was allowed to pull the ball back from the byline, allowing Ballack to bundle it over the line under pressure from Sébastien Bassong.

Corluka was at fault for the third goal, in the 63rd minute. Cole’s long ball sent Drogba chasing and the striker robbed the Croat before stepping around Cudicini to finish in style for his 99th goal for Chelsea.

And then Benoît Assou-Ekotto was lucky not to concede a penalty when he clearly handled Lampard’s latest free kick.

Before the end, Spurs lost another central defender when Bassong fell heavily on his shoulder in a challenge with Anelka and, during lengthy treatment, required oxygen to ease the pain and a neck-brace to support the injury before he was stretchered off.

And then Drogba damaged his right calf with an attempted shot and he, too, had to be carried off, meaning that an extra eight minutes had to be played before Spurs were put out of their misery.

Peter Crouch thought he had scored for Spurs, in the sixth minute of added time – but it was ruled out for offside.

No mention of the Robbie Keane penalty claim after he was tripped by Carvalho?

Without question it was a penalty or a card for diving. Black or white. There is no in between in that incident.

Just another instance of the sky 4 receiving the best of it from the Refs.

Unlucky, you must be kidding Bully, Spurs were lucky they didn't lose by more. Chelsea totally dominated, and losing King certainly didn't help thier cause.

I only hope that they are not in a bad mood this week end
