You gotta feel for Paddy Kenny. Had a great game, possibly MOM until that. Unbelievable.

I watched until the first five minutes of extra time and then had to head to work.
That's the only problem when games go in to extra time! Otherwise they end perfectly on time for me.

The whole sequence was unbelievable. ball deflected off the heels of the Sheff defender, bounced off the boro attacked a nd richocheyed (spelling) to Mido who's shot deflected off another Sheff defender (sending Kelly the wrong way), hit the inside of the post and then deflected in off Kellys outstreched hand.
Unlucky, unlucky farce.

If you get the chance to watch it on a highlights show DW, you have to see it to believe it

Speaking of farces - did you see the great double save from a pen by a CCC keeper in last weekend's matches? Can't remember who it was, but it was pure gold.

Yeah. Now you've got me thinking. I'll take a look at last weeks Clarets Programme to see if it stikes a cord.

I slept through it, although I woke up in time to see the leveller, so I could watch Sunderland....lose again.

JTC,

How many points are going to be needed to avoid relegation this season?
If Sunderland's (26 points) still slightly under threat of going the drop, are Punky's Tynesiders (28 points)?
Will a win against SJABC's Ram's next weekend get the Cats over the line or is it too early to tell?

Forgive me if any of the above questions are a bit obvious - I'm a member of the great uninformed.

Sorry DW, just noticed this

Pos Team Pld W D L F A Diff Pts
12 Middlesbrough 27 7 8 12 25 41 -16 29
13 Newcastle 27 7 7 13 30 52 -22 28

With a total of 38 games to play, all the bottom sides have about 11 left to play. We can write off Derby, which means there are only two spots left to fill.

Couple of news items just to give you an idea of how much money is sloshing around for the EPL

Obifemi Martins has been offered a new contract at Newcastle worth £26m over 5 years.
The BBC are set to offer £400m to win the right to show Champs League games.

JTC, that wasn't you invading the pitch today at Turf Moor trying to attack the Watford fans was it?

Sounds like a fiery affair today. Can't wait to catch some highlights!

Nah mate. Too bloody cold to be outside today. Watched the game from behind the plate glass today,
Was a great game. Ref had a stinker though and completely lost control by half time. We should have been 3 - 0 up before Watford touched the ball. hit the woodwork twice, had a good goal disallowed and had to put up with thier EPL throw yourself on the floor tactics.
Still, it was a great game.

Yep, a return to business as usual for Spurs. We were rubbish.

Honestly though, Birmingham are a good side. Forssel is a class striker and if he can stay fit along with McFadden, your Brumms will be well outside the relegation zone by May. I rate Jerome too (although he didn't come on yesterday), he's a good young player.

After 79 mins - son of former liverpool player AVI Cohen scores from a corner and makes it 3-1...
