Nice win by Liverpool last night 3-1.

Crowd now urging Carragher to shoot from 45 yards

LOL had to feel for Jussi (for all of about 8 seconds), he's a much better keeper than that and usually plays well against us.

Babel has a fair crack on him, could have easily scored one or two more.

Wonder what the mood on merseyside would be like if Liverpool manage to win the UCL but finish 5th in the EPL with Everton in 4th...

I'd imagine Liverpool would be as smug as ever, as they'd be in the 08/09 CL and Everton would still be watching and playing Mickey Mouse Europe. The rules have changed this season and the CL winner is given auto qualification to defend their title. That means the lowest placed 'qualifying' team in the winning teams' association misses out.

The Toffees would be PISSED!

It would be the 3rd time Liverpool has kept Everton out of the UCL despite the Toffees qualifying.

1st was in 89 when England teams were banned from Europe when Everton won the title in 88.

2nd was in 05/06 when Everton finished 4th to qualify for UCl but of course Liverpool won the trophy and the defending champs had to play the next season.

Actually in 05/06 Everton was allowed to compete thanks to a special ruling by Uefa. They lost 2-4 to Villareal in the third qualifying stage.

If the same thing happens this year, Everton will miss out.

Liverpool were allowed in but had to go through the qualifiers 1st. I think the same would happen again as UEFA have set a prescedent with that one.
Still it would mean that the EPL would have 5 representatives in the CL.

Neither did I :( (Well I did, but I forgot :( :( )

Another Hattrick for Torres, looks like I picked him up at the right time in EPL Dream Team ... He actually beat the keeper 2 other times, with a very narrow miss and one denied by the bar.

Lost interest in football after the Clarets abysmal showing last night. Knew we were in for a shit time when I saw that prick Mike Riley was the ref. He has already sent off 2 Burnley players this year and doubled that figure last night. I don't know why he hates us so much but I have never seen a good game where he has been in charge

To be fair, he also gave two Hull players their marching orders (straight Red Cards) and I think he just wanted to even thtings up as he dismissed two Clarets that were already on yellows.

Since I picked Torres up he's scored two hattricks in 11 days ... Also picked Berbatov up earlier in the year just as he plonked in a lazy 4 ... Still only 4th though, bloody 1 point losses

Which one's you in CP. I am in the Fantasy Football the official EPL one which I was leading until this week, and also the one that you set up which I don't really get into  .

The Fantasy one is great, IMO alot easier to use then the Virtual Sports one...I will set a league up next season for the lads on here to have a look...

Im just in the Virtual Sports one mate ... Last week (or maybe the one before) I came 135th of 40,000 odd, which wasn't bad considering I had 3 of my starters didn't play.
