I don't hate Arsenal, I don't love them but they are one of the "so so" teams but Man Utd are like that with a lot of teams. Clubs love to beat United more than most of the other clubs but United don't feel the same way back.

Anyway the point I made in the previous post was that you made some remark about how there is a rumour that Rooney ate maccas in Japan like it was some big thing. You then went on some rant about nothing!

Also, United hardly spend the most out of EPL clubs.. they just prefer to spend their cash on quality. I'd rather that than Arsene Wenger refusing to part with a few pounds (Arshavin aside) because he would rather buy some kids who can pass the ball around nicely and dominate the Mickey Mouse Cup. I mean getting rid of someone like Flamini who was the perfect foil for blokes like Cesc and now Arshavin... and then replacing him with..... who exactly?

If Arsenal want to win trophies maybe they need to spend a bit of coin, otherwise this barren run will continue. Arsene is just too stubborn because if they ever did win the league with a bunch of kids he could say "told you so" in the French equivalent.

you asked or well said im trying desperately to rubbish Man united and Rooney, and i said YES i am

Just a question? who do you actually follow? Remember another member on here asking you the same question but no answer. You go on and on about Man United. But you also follow Cardiff City yeah? Cant follow 2 teams....

In a country like what?

They were in Japan. Not sure if you've ever met any Japanese people, but I curently live with 2 and they're very, very clean and cook AMAZING food.

Japan is a first class developed country which is far richer than Australia. If they were playing in Angola - I' understand your criticism, but Japan....someone bring me some sashimi.

my point exactually, japan has alot great food more then Australia. Much much healthier then some of the food in this land, or tho they are become a fast food country just like the rest of the world. He could have had anything else but still decided to eat Maccas. I dont care what he eats, yes i brought this topic up but im trying to make the point of surely they would be on strict diets. And yes footy players can have a break now and then, like all codes with drinking etc, but also heard at the time its something he does alot of the time. Good on him if he can eat rubbish and still play then thats great.

could be a number of things, us gunners have had alot of returns from injuries and have just played better, and Villa have played shit and lost games. always happens when a team breaks into the top '4' everyone talks about them and they go great for a while but then dont do so well at the end of the season. like Everton a few years ago when they knocked liverpool outa the top 4, everton werent so good after that. Must go to their heads or something

yeah thats true. I actually just Wikipediaed that question of which team has been in the top flight of English football the longest, it says Chelsea because of something that happened in the mid to late 1910-1920, but then again it says Arsenal have been in the top flight for 87 years, followed by Everton 54years ( without relegation im talking about ).

It also says that in 1915, Man United to avoid relegation fixed their last game Against Liverpool to avoid Man United getting relegated, it sent Chelsea down because of this. So some of it makes sense and some doesnt. As posted from Wikipedia on this Question and Answer.....

chelsea have been in the top flight for football the longest, in fact when Arsenal celebrate 87 years in the top flight during 2006 the nearest team to them will be Everton on 52 years

Coventry, who were promoted under Jimmy Hill's stewardship in 1967, are the fourth-longest serving members of the elite. Liverpool were promoted in 1963, and haven't slummed it in the meantime, while neighbours Everton have held their top-flight status ever since 1954, despite their best efforts during the 90s.

Then there's Arsenal. They were promoted from the old Second Division in 1919 and have never been away since. But, predictably, seeing as they hold the record for current top-flight longevity, the nature of their promotion that year is controversial, to say the least.

In 1919, the First Division was extended from 20 to 22 clubs. During previous expansions, the relegated clubs from the previous season were re-elected, while the top Second Division sides were promoted as usual.

So Derby and Preston, the two top Second Division sides in 1915 - there had been a break for the War - did indeed move on up. And Chelsea, who had finished 19th that season, were, as expected, re-elected.

But the reason for Chelsea's escape were somewhat arbitrary. In 1915, Manchester United had, to avoid relegation, fixed their last game (against Liverpool of all people). They won 2-0 and sent Chelsea into the relegation places instead, but Liverpool chairman John McKenna must have felt some guilt, because at the League's AGM in 1919 he gave a speech insisting on the continued presence in the top flight of the Stamford Bridge club.

For some reason however, he also suggested that lowly Arsenal, who had finished fifth in the Second, should be rewarded for their long service to the League. They should replace the team which came 20th in 1915, he argued.

And so it came to pass. The unfairly relegated club? Why, Tottenham Hotspur.

UP THE GOONERS

If any of you can understand this then great ;)

Yeah  Its funny tho, Funny that a chairman from Liverpool voices his disliking to things that long ago, and they listened tho. About us gunners should be in the top div, and also about how Man United/ Liverpool fixed that game to send Chelsea down and he made a speech and they were returned to the top div.

So that to me means that if Chelsea gets relegated ( we can only hope ) that the current Liverpool chairman voices his disliking to it then the FFA will listen and bring them back?? Doubt it will happen but how did they let it happen all those years ago?

Relegated to 2nd tier in 86/87 season but won promotion straight back in the 87/88 season.

Had two seasons in the 3rd tier, 70/71 and 71/72, and that's the only time they have been outside the top two tiers.

Gabby Agby is fine, he's just done sweet fa since about October. He was boo'd off Villa Park after the mights Spurs beat Villa last month. He did get a call up to the England squad, but that was more a matter of him being about the only English striker currently in the EPL who could actually walk. Their other option was to bring Shearer in, but he was busy talking to Mike Ashley ;)

Liverpool are the stingiest team around. How many more times can they score stoppage time winners?
