Ok Just got back from the pub. I required an extra 3 pints just to cool off. My Siss and Bro in law arrived today for a week in the mother land and have seen the full extent of passionate footy following and SHIT ******* REFEREEING!

The Burnley game was on Fox over here (I'm watching the replay now actually) and it was 1-0 when I left for work this morning so pretty surprised to see that score.

Cardiff play Reading tonight. Pretty big game as it's 6th vs 3rd. Need to get the win at home.

OK. so my laptop keyboard os still f$%ked so I have plugged in a normal keyboard. I will send the repair bill to the incompetant officials at last nights game.

This is another perfect example of th inept and incomprehendible "offside" rule. Here's the senario. there are three Barnsley players standing in an offside position, one at least 15 yards beyond the last defender. Another tyke from takes a shot from outside the box, the ball is heading to the left of the goal, but on it's way through, deflects off that dud stood 15 yards offside, and goes into the right side of the goal. The keeper is totally wrong footed and has no chance of saving the shot.

Now you tell me, is that player (it had to be that PNE wanker Whaley) "interferring" with play or not? Surely if the shot by his team mate hits him and is deflected into the opposite side of the goal, it is offside. Did we get the decision. Noooooooo. Barnsley was already 1 - 0 up at this time and the Burnley team just lost their heads. they were still arguing with the ref when Barnslay scored their 3rd 2 minutes later.

So that was that. 55 mins on the clock and the Clarets 3 - 0. but Burnley are a tougher nut to crack these days. Coyle replaced the utter waste of space that Akinbadbuy is with Paterson and Joey Badjohnsson with young Kevin MacDonald and Burnley were on fire. Paterson scored twice in a 7 minute spell to bring it back to 3 - 2 and from there is was one way traffic. Fantastic effort by the Clarets and had McCann, MacDonald or Eagles, with the best chance all night, put away their opportunities, we could have taken this game.

Not suprisingly, the Tykes keeper was Skysports an of the match with a string of quality saves.

Chris Iwelumo made it 15 goals for the season as Wolves kept their six-point lead intact at the top of the Coca-Cola Championship.
Iwelumo scored twice as Wolves beat Sheffield United 3-1, giving the leaders an early advantage with a fine finish from a tight angle following a Michael Kightly cross.
The visitors lost goalkeeper Carl Ikeme to injury before the break, Wayne Hennessey taking over before Iwelumo stretched the lead in the second half.
Sylvain Ebanks-Blake put Wolves further ahead after 63 minutes before Matthew Spring scored a consolation goal for United with 15 minutes left.

A rare goal from Liam Ridgewell and a Kevin Phillips header kept up the pressure on Wolves as second-placed Birmingham beat Ipswich 2-1 at St Andrews.
Ridgewell volleyed in from close range before Phillips doubled the advantage as he headed in a cross from Sebastian Larsson.
Former Birmingham player Alex Bruce scored with six minutes remaining to ensure a nervy finish for the home side.

Third-placed Reading lost more ground on the leading duo as they were held 2-2 at Cardiff.
Reading, who lost to Southampton at the weekend, also ended the game with 10 men following the dismissal of Andre Bikey.
Michael Chopra was in the thick of the first-half action, first being fouled by Bikey which earned the Reading defender a red card, before being brought down by goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann for the penalty which restored Cardiff's lead.
On-loan Wayne Routledge had put the home side ahead before Kevin Doyle levelled for Reading.
Bikey was then sent off for his foul on Chopra before Hahnemann brought down the same player and Ross McCormack converted the penalty.
Brynjar Gunnarsson equalised five minutes into the second half but Reading could not find a winner.

Derby drew 2-2 with Preston with all the goals coming in a thrilling first half at Pride Park.
Rob Hulse gave Derby the lead but Callum Davidson levelled from the penalty spot following a foul on Ross Wallace.
Neil Mellor put the visitors ahead before Jordan Stewart volleyed home from distance to make it 2-2.

Crystal Palace won 2-1 at Norwich with goals from Craig Beattie and John Oster.
Beattie gave Palace the lead against the run of play and Oster doubled their advantage five minutes before the break when Oster chipped the ball superbly over a stranded David Marshall from outside the area.
Matthew Pattison pulled a goal back with a header from a Lee Croft cross but the home side could not find an equaliser.

Goals from Marcus Tudgay and Deon Burton earned Sheffield Wednesday all three points against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Daniel Fox secured Coventry a point with a late leveller at the Ricoh Arena after Jordi Gomez's fine free-kick had put visitors Swansea ahead.

New Watford manager Brendan Roberts started off with a 1-1 draw away to Bristol City thanks to a Tommy Smith goal
Stern John saw a first-half header from Brian Wilson's cross disallowed for offside before Nicky Maynard and Smith ensured the points were shared.

Bottom two Doncaster and Nottingham Forest shared a goalless draw and there were no goals between Southampton and Plymouth.

Dexter Blackstock gave new QPR boss Paolo Sousa a dream start with two goals to defeat troubled Charlton 2-1.
The Addicks had parted company with manager Alan Pardew following Saturday's 5-2 home defeat to Sheffield United.
Things got no better for caretaker boss Phil Parkinson as Blackstock scored either side of Therry Racon's goal.

The Welsh derby was a belter. Cardiff threw it away though when McPhail stupidly got sent off, that was unbelievable.

4 goals and 2 red cards saw the game end in a 2-2 draw.

yes i do remember that, the defender did exceptionally well to get a boot to the ball, because Jerome was just about to put it away.

Wolves were thankful for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake's late equaliser as the Coca-Cola Championship leaders held nearest rivals Birmingham 1-1 at Molineux.
Blues silenced the home crowd in the first half with an assured display and Kevin Phillips should have fired them ahead before the break, after Liam Ridgewell had earlier deflected the ball onto his own post at the other end.
Cameron Jerome (48) shot City into the lead three minutes after coming off the bench but Ebanks-Blake side-footed an equaliser on 74 after good work by Stephen Ward.
The result maintains Wolves' six-point lead over Birmingham at the top of the table.

Burnley climbed to fourth after a first-half blitz saw them defeat Derby 3-0 at Turf Moor.
Kevin McDonald (6) volleyed Owen Coyle's Clarets into the lead and Martin Paterson (15, 23) struck twice to seal victory before the interval.

Fellow promotion hopefuls Sheffield United needed James Beattie's 89th-minute penalty, following Alan Quinn's handball, to claim a 1-1 draw at Ipswich.
The hosts had taken the lead from the spot themselves in the 41st minute when Tommy Miller converted after Matt Kilgallon also handled.

A first-half strike from Stephen Elliott and Ross Wallace's second goal of the season gave Preston a 2-0 victory over Bristol City at a foggy Deepdale.

Tommy Smith (31) gave the Hornets the lead before Steve Brooker (70) levelled.
Rovers slip to 24th spot due to Nottingham Forest's 1-0 defeat of Barnsley at the City Ground, which came courtesy of Joe Garner's 36th-minute header.

The bottom three is completed by Charlton, who could only register a 0-0 draw with fellow strugglers Southampton at The Valley.

Norwich are a place above the relegation zone after they came out on the wrong side of a five-goal thriller against Sheffield Wednesday.
Sammy Clingan's penalty (43) after Marcus Tudgay's foul put the Canaries ahead at Hillsborough, but Tony McMahon (51) and Leon Clarke (55) turned the match in favour of the Owls.
Leroy Lita (62) equalised only for Tudgay (72) to make up for his earlier misdemeanour with a close-range headed winner, and the visitors had John Kennedy dismissed for a professional foul late on.
