Round Up
The top two in League One consolidated their automatic promotion places as Leicester and Peterborough both battled to 1-0 wins to keep a rampant MK Dons at bay in third.
The leaders Leicester took all three points at Millwall courtesy of Steve Howard's 22nd-minute winner at the Walkers Stadium, while second-placed Peterborough managed to grind out victory against Northampton despite playing almost the entire 90 minutes with 10 men.
Posh's Congolese defender Gabriel Zakuani was dismissed in only the seventh minute for a professional foul, but Charlie Lee's headed goal on 33 minutes proved enough for Darren Ferguson's resilient troops, who stay nine points behind the Foxes.
It was a different story at Stadium MK where Roberto Di Matteo's Dons eventually blew Oldham away 6-2, having come from behind twice in the first half.
Kevin Maher's free-kick gave the visitors the lead only four minutes in, but Aaron Wilbraham's close-range finish on the half hour levelled.
Lee Hughes then restored Oldham's advantage five minutes before the break, but Jason Puncheon equalised two minutes later and the Dons did not look back from there.
Oldham crumbled in the second period, Sam Baldock netting a quick brace soon after the break, Alan Navarro scoring from long range with 10 minutes to go and substitute Ali Gerba completing the rout in the 94th minute.
Leeds retained their play-off position behind Millwall in fifth with a 1-0 win over Swindon on a mixed day for striker Jermaine Beckford, who scored the winner three minutes from the end but then got himself sent off deep into injury time.
Tranmere moved into the final play-off spot with a 3-1 victory against Huddersfield, Anthony Kay netting a double for Rovers either side of Bas Savage's strike. Scun.thorpe stay seventh after recording a 1-1 draw at Carlisle.
At the other end of the table, rock-bottom Cheltenham ended their winless sequence with a 2-0 win over Hartlepool, courtesy of a first-half penalty from Elvis Hammond and a late second from substitute Nicholas Bignall.
The result moves the Robins to within five points of second-bottom Hereford, who lost 1-0 at home to Southend, while Brighton's new manager Russell Slade got one over his old club with an emphatic 5-0 success against Yeovil, Dean Cox and Nicky Forster scoring two goals a piece to put the Seagulls three points from their visitors - and safety - in 22nd.
Elsewhere, Bristol Rovers posted the same thumping scoreline at Walsall, while there were also wins for Leyton Orient over Stockport and Crewe over Colchester.

Round Up
The clash of the top two sides in League Two did not disappoint as leaders Brentford played out a six-goal thriller with Wycombe at Griffin Park.
Jordan Rhodes bundled home from close range to put the hosts ahead inside two minutes, but John Akinde marked his Wycombe debut by equalising with a header on 15 minutes.
David Hunt restored the Bees' lead with a deceptive free-kick six minutes later, only for the visitors to draw level again five minutes before the break through former Brentford player John Mousinho.
Akinde, on loan from Bristol City, then gave Wycombe the lead four minutes into the second half with a superb solo effort, but the Chairboys made life difficult for themselves after Tommy Doherty's alleged elbow reduced them to 10 men on 67 minutes.
Brentford upped the ante and were rewarded 10 minutes from the end when substitute Sam Williams struck to make it 3-3.
Third-placed Rochdale were unable to capitalise after going down 2-1 at home to Rotherham, Reuben Reid and Ryan Taylor putting the visitors two ahead before Adam Le Fondre's reply.
Bury stay fourth after Andy Bishop's late equaliser secured them a 1-1 draw at Lincoln, who had striker Anthony Elding sent off after half an hour.
Exeter moved up to fifth with a 1-0 win over fellow promotion rivals Bradford, although it was Gillingham who had looked set to take advantage of Bury's slip and assume third position until two late strikes from the league's top scorer, Grant Holt, salvaged a 2-2 draw for Shrewsbury at the Priestfield Stadium.
The result lifts Paul Simpson's side into the final play-off spot, just behind the Gills, who fall to sixth.
At the bottom, Luton look certain to be relegated after losing 2-1 to Aldershot in the early kick-off, the Hatters still 15 points from safety with 10 games remaining.
The two sides directly above them, Chester (22nd) and Grimsby (23rd), met at the Deva Stadium and played out a 1-1 draw which keeps them separated by a point either side of the relegation cut-off line.
The stalemate allowed Bournemouth to continue their heroic bid for survival, a 2-0 win at Macclesfield meaning that having started the season on -17, Eddie Howe's team are now four points clear of the drop zone.
The Cherries have lost only twice in 13 league games since Howe, at 31 the football league's youngest manager, took over the club in January.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Port Vale over Darlington and Morecambe over Barnet, while Notts County against Accrington Stanley and Chesterfield v Dagenham & Redbridge both finished 1-1.
